The gaming industry is, in general, more entertaining than the movie industry, so it certainly deserves a spot on the Walk. In addition to the games usually being much longer and more engaging than a typical movie, games don't generally have all the 'fake' association and bad drama that almost always surrounds 'celebrities' we all see in movies.
Mario is probably the most recognizable character in the entertainment world. If he doesn't deserve a star, then no one else does. Thank you Nintendo for bringing Mario into our lives.
Yes we should ad video games to the walk of fame, Mario, Sonic the hedgehog, Link from Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Samus from Metroid, Fox from Star Fox, Toe Jam and Earl, Shinobi, and Scorpion from Mortalk Ombat should all get stars
i think there should definetly be a category for video games!!!Mario is more recognized than mickey mouse!!! and the fact that videogames make more money than the movie industry should tell people something...games are not just for kids anymore
I have to admit that I've spent more hours enjoying the company of Link, Samus, Mario, and Luigi than anyone in movies or on television. Thanks, Nintendo!
Very few video game characters these days have "true celebrity status." Mario is the one who deserves it most. He is the hardest working plumber the World has ever seen. Let him have a star. :)
Put Mario and Link for the first stars, then Cloud Strife for me, and all the other characters I forgot! Oh, put video-game creators too, they deserve it!
