to me names such as 'Super-Mario', 'Link', 'Guybrush Threepwood' and 'Sonic the Hedgehog'inspire more of a glow in my heart than any hollywood star could. i salute the computer game characters...
If a charachter can live for almost 2 decades and entertain us, then it deserves a Star just as much as any other actor that has entertained the masses.
I'm amazed to see that there is no "interactive" aspect of the industry. They've gone under the radar too long. I'm glad Nintendo is taking a stand !!!!

I agree that video game characters should appear on the Walk of Fame, because they are famous! I think Mario, the most famous of ALL video game mascots, should be the first one to get a star! He's the biggest star of ALL video game characters, and a hero!
The name "Mario" is a more recognizable household name than "Mickey Mouse", so why give the mouse a star and not the plumber??? Doesnt make sense to me... :oP

He is the god of video games and Mario is the god of video game characters. Video games are a huge part of the entertainment world and before Shigeru Miyamoto created Mario, the video game world was nothing but bells and whistles. Mario is a true star and belongs on the walk of fame.

Mario should be on the Walk of Fame because he is part of our pop culture. A lot of celebrities grew up on Mario, and he has been bigger then most stars on the Walk of Fame.
If Mickey Rooney (who granted, was the greatest actor in america at one point, though its not really fair as there were only thirteen colonies back then) can have a star, why can't Mario and Link?
I think there's people on that walk of fame that should trade places with mario.He revolutionized the way we looked at video games he put personality into them.
