The interactive entertainment industry is just as much a facet of modern society as the film industry or the music industry. They should be recognized as such.
I think Video Games need a bit more recognition... Vid Games are in the shadows I believe, and they should atleast step up to be equal with the movie industry.
Nintendo has the right idea here. The Walk of Fame seriously needs to consider long-time popular videogame characters (and their creators) for induction. Only then can all aspects of entertainment clearly be represented.
Dude! Cmon... it's Mario! He's been around for almost 20 years... I think anyone with that sort of lasting power deserves his star, and trust me, he gets lots of 'em.
Alright! This is a chance for Mario and Link to get the respect they deserve. Without these characters, I would not be the same person I am now. And no actor has changed my life like them.
Mario is a big hit. If non-talented posers such as Britney Spears can get their own star, why not the loveable plumber who spends his sparetime saving kingdoms?

Put Mario on the Walk of Fame. You have Mickey Mouse on there, and at one time, if you asked a kid who was more recognizable, Mario would have won. Give him a star.

I love videogames more then any movie I've ever seen. I've spent so much time playing video games that they've become a part of my life more then movies will ever be.
