As even I grew up with the likes of the many voices of Frank Oz the Muppets, I've also grown up with voice of Mario of Nintendo. Don't forget characters are based on a role for people to enjoy, and I personally would enjoy Mario to have his own Star.
this has got to happen the video games industry is bigger than hollywood hollywood needs to copy video games for movies mario and shigeru miyamoto to be enducted
The video game industry is an art form just like movies (in acting, music, art work, and CGI). Last I checked, you give Academy Awards for all of the above. Not to mention, it is rivaling Hollywood in growth and revenue.
Videogames are incredible, and I think it's hard to think of a character more representative for them than our lovely plumber, Mario! I really hope to step on his star one day!
Video games: The new #1 mediaum of entertainment, deserve their place among th ranks of movies and music. Their original style of art is deserving of such recognition as being in the Walk Of Fame! GO VIDEO GAMES!
Video games are the media form that made itself as big as film and music. It defined the 90s and is playing a huge part of this decade as well. Mario and other characters are the torch bearers oof this phenomenon and they are here to stay.
Lets make this happen people. Its an outrage that people like Brendan Frasier and Pauley Shore have stars on the walk of fame! Mario people...Mario, he is the real victim here.
Games of Mario and Zelda are exploring many aspects of games such as innovation and fun factor non-stop while other companies follow. mario represents the one and only leader of the interactive entertainment industry. he will get a star on the hollywood walk of fame.
VideoGame characters and or the creator should be recognized for their talent in the entertainment buisness, because like it or not video games are now the biggest form of entertainment, quickly over shadowing the movie business and becoming huge household names. I can honestly say that mario is by far more known around the world than any actor or entertainer out there. And this is a fact, and it should be recognized.
At one point in history Mario was the most recognizable figure in the world, dwarfing Mickey Mouse. Not allowing him to have his name there would near discrimination.
