I think this would be great honor to not only video game creators and video game character creaters, but also to gamers and the entire game industry as a whole.
Mario and all of the other household names in videogames all deserve to be on the walk...but more then them should be the godfather of gaming: Shigeru Miyamoto

Nintendo's mascot, Mario, was more well known than Mickey Mouse back in 1980s/1990s, and I think it might still be more well known than Mickey. So why not honor Mario's success and place him on the Walk of Fame?
Where would we be today without video games? Video games have given more to the general public then movies ever will. If video games have provided people with similar types of things movies provide us with, then why not have popular video game characters honored the same way popular movie stars are honored? It would be a downright shame if video games do not recieve the recognition in which they so truly deserve. Thank You.
Perhaps a few years ago, I would have disagreed with this petition. However, seeing the growth of the Video Game industry and it's importance to the Entertainment industry as a whole, it only seems fair. Mario IS the mascot of all video game systems on the market, past and present and probably well into the future. I know if I were visiting Hollywood, I'd stop and take a picture.
I'm french & I want mario to be acknolegde as the same level as any star cuz he's way better as some of them...
And it would be the first step for the video game to be recognized as the 8th art
Nintendo est réaliste ! Pourquoi des acteurs ou chanteurs seraient récompensés et pas les personnages des jeux video qui nous font rêver ? Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, tous doivent être récompensé ! Nos rêves ne sont réalisables que grâce aux jeux videos. Je vous soutient NINTENDO !
It'd be awesome to go to Hollywood one day and not only be able to see stars for famous actors but also for famous video game stars. I'd take my picture next to Mario's star and it'd be awesome to have a star for Link also. Let's give stars to all the big mega video game stars!!!
