Samus needs recongnition! And Link. And Mario. And Gunpei and Shiggy. Games have made such an impact on the entertainment industry already, c'mon, people!
We all grew up with these characters. The video game industry has taken games to new heights, deeply involving players in their stories. They deserve the walk of fame!
Video Games have more than proven themselves to be a worthy market in the entertainment industry. Nintendo is right, after spending years chasing down stars, Mario deserves one of his own.

Put Mario and Link into the walk of fame. Master Chief also deserves his place there too. Do it NOW!!! The Video Game Industry is as big as the movie industry, if not, bigger. It Only makes sense.
In a poll not long ago, it was shown that more US kids knew Mario than knew Mickey Mouse. Video games are the entertainment of the future, and video game characters should definitely be included in the Walk of Fame. Link and Mario should be two of the first.
As long as this honor is reserved for the true greats, like Mario. There are VERY few who are so widely known. Sonic would be another. I don't want to see Solid Snake or Jill Valentine on there... yet.
Come on, it's freakin' Mario! He's more recognizable then alot of the people on the walk of fame and has made an emense contribution to modern entertainment.
If actors and actresses get this recognition, why not video game stars and their creators. They work just as hard as all the people on a movie do and movies are even made based on video game characters. That should give them the right to put them on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Link should be in the hall of fame as well. Videogame characters have obtained much of the United States and Japan's money. Much of it stems from long running characters such as Mario, Link, DK, Kirby, Mega Man, and Sonic, to name a few.
It's time Hollywood recognizes the talents in the videogame industry. Shigeru Miyamoto and his creations (including Super Mario) are long overdue on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I believe that just as films have become a significant way to entertain the masses, so have videogames. There should be no reason why videogame stars should not also be on the walk of fame. It would be great for our grandchildren too be able to look at the walk of fame and see the stars of the videogames we played when we were young, just like we can look at the walk and see the names of movie stars that our grandparents watched in their days.
Mario is the favorite video game character of all time, and possibly the favorite guy of all time. So lend this plumber some love for entertaining us for more than 20 years!
Why should there not be interactive entertainment on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Games sell as much as movies and cost just as much to make and are widely similar in many aspects to movies. With that said, is there a reason not to recgonize interactive entertainment which is probably more entertaining than a movie?
Mario and other video game characters deserve a spot on the Walk of Fame! In the cases of the legends named in the petition, their appeal has lasted for decades with no sign of slowing. They should be recognized because they entertain just as well as, if not better than some movie stars. Let's see it happen!
