I can name more Video Game Characters then I can movie stars. These people save the world from evil countless time (see link as an example) and they dont even have a star yet! what is this world coming to?
the video game industry grosses more money now then the movie industry and is still the fastest growing form of media, so i feel it is only fair to include them in the walk of fame
Mario has been a celebrity to me since the age of 3 when he was on the NES. He's more widely known than some celebrities on that walk of fame. Give him a star. Consider Link, as well.
Nintendo's Mario deserves a spot on the Hollywood walk of fame. He has entertained millions for many more hours than most of the people on the walk of fame today.
I would like to see Mario on there. He is the "face" of video games. He is equivilant to some of the big names on the walk already, because he has moved the industry just as they did.

While there already is a Walk of Game in San Francisco, California...Video Games surpassed the film industry long ago.
This is a long time coming. If Britney Spears gets a star, so should Mario. Mario has done more for entertainment than she has.
And oh yeah, Link and Zelda better get one, too.
Link IS a hero. to many kids, teenagers, and adults world wide. The time will soon come when video game characters must be recognized as what they truly are, the other heroes, the lesser metntioned ones. Mario isn't just a plumber, he's a symbol.

I grew up watching Captain Lou Albana introduce the Super Mario Brothers Super Show. I've played virtually every single Mario game that's ever come out, including the one for the Virtual Boy that gave all those kids seizures. If ever there was an emissary for the video game world, this Italian plumber is it.
Come on this is one of the BIGGEST forms of entertainment of the century some Economies rely on video games and in some places Video Game Stars are regarded with utmost respect If this does not go through it is a crime
Video games are a form of art, much like music and movies. Characters deserve to be put on the walk of fame, but only if they can rise above the foolish hype. If a video game is truly spectacular, they will stand the test of time. If Mickey Mouse can get a star, why can't Mario or Sonic?
Metal Gear Solid 3 said it well. It has gotten to the point where games are the equivlent of movies, only where you control the characters. Granted, Mario is the only character well known enough to get a star, but games should not be rueled out completly.
I like this idea. It'd be pretty awesome to have Mario, Luigi, DK, Bowser, Link, Zelda, Samus, and the others on the walk of fame. How can anyone forget them?
zelda and mario are bigger heroes to the american people then movie stars like brad pitt so at least give these super legends/heroes a spot on the walk of fame they deserve it
