It's true that video games make more money than movies, but let's not forget about what all of these things are. Like movies, video games are just another way to tell a story. Over their 30-year history, they have proven themselves. Let's give them the respect they deserve on the Walk of Fame.
Video games have been a bigger part of my life than movies, music, or any popular media. Ever since I was a little kid I was more in tune with what was going on with new video games than new movies. Video games are quickly replacing movies as the biggest form of media entertainment, and deserve this kind of publicity.
America fell in love with Mario and Zelda as though it was an American trademark. I have kept that same feeling ever since I was a kid, and I might add that Mario and Zelda deserve it more than any other gaming character, for that matter any Nintendo franchise.
Yeah mario should be a part of it. The walk of fame are for celebrities that really got famous right? They didn't say it has to be a real human being. Godzilla, a movie monster, is now part of the walk of fame, so why not mario or pac-man, eh? makes sense doesn't it? :-D
Donkey Kong is a mofokn LEGAND so use better put him on that walk of fame... I think thatd b a really good thing for gamemakers n nintendo n all of that to do its cool!
Ya Know I think there should be a hollywood walk of fame for the video games catagory but i think instead of saying just the character name on the star it should say something like

I have been a videogamer and a movie lover my entire life. To see videogame characters on the Hollywood Walk of Fame would make me and many others more than happy.
If any one video game personality deserves this honer, as well as deserves to be the first from this form of entertainment to get this honer. It is indeed mario. Is and was the first true video game personality who reached celebrity status. From atari to game cube he has stood the test of time. The test of media. He desevres it more then any other in this form of entertainment.
Honestly, I feel that the interactive entertainment industry deserves more than this for all the love and adoration that it recieves from fans. Many of you that this petition is directed towards are gamers yourselves. Final Fantasy VII gave me more emotion than any movie I have ever watched, and I know many that feel the same way. Go Mario!
I agree that video game characters should be noticed. If characters can last for as long as Mario can then don't you think the public should consider it?
