Video games are a major part of the entertainment industry and should be recognized as such. I think adding them to the walk would bring many more young people to Hollywood and bring a large influx of new tourism.
Holly **** i didnt expect to see a well known person respond(tommy telerico from electric playground, reviews on the run and jugment day) gota agree with him i want mr. myamoto up there as long with will right and peter molinieu(cant spell)
I say why not. Video games influence culture and have been around for quite some time. They are just as entertaining and important to people nowadays as is t.v., movies, radio, and many other forms of entertainment that are already reconized. Video games should be included too.
The likes of Mario and Link deserve to be recognized in the walk of fame for all there fun and entertainment they have offered the world the last few decades.
I'm only 19 and I've
already played video
games for the last 15 years. It would be great to see greats such as Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, and more, finally get the recognition they deserve.
Video games definately hold their own against movies. My only other suggestion is to have the creator (miyamoto for example) on the star allongside his creations.
As the gap between 'interactive' entertainment and the 'passive' entertainment provided by movies/tv continues to narrow, it seems only fair to recognize the stars of this enjoyable and engrossing medium.
I think that his would be a great idea, infact, I myself am a video game fanatic! (and when I mean fanatic, I mean fanatic!)After all, doesn't almost everyone love a little video gaming oce in a while?
Is not interactive entertainment
rapidly overtaking the movie
industry? since this is so, the
only reasonable action is to
justly celebrate the stars thereof.
Mario!...Mario!...Mario!! !
Ele merece, junto com várias outras celebridades que participaram da nossa vida mais do que qualquer outro personagem de cinema.
