14 Nov 2006 - 12:31    Suzan Tillman : Lay-a-way should not be stopped. You will lose a lot of customers if you do as a lot of people depend on it especially for the holidays
14 Nov 2006 - 13:16    Andrea Huggins : This move makes me wonder about all things I use to hear about WalMart. Heads up WalMart we can do lay aways at KMart where do u think we are gonna shop?

14 Nov 2006 - 20:32    Bill Shipley : this coming from a company who gives so much money to support a bunch of gays. my spending at wal-mart is over.
14 Nov 2006 - 21:29    SHANNON BARTHOLOMEW : THIS YEAR ALONE I HAVE DONE MORE THAN $1000.00 IN LAY-A-WAY BUSINESS WITH WAL-MART. I DO NOT BELIEVE I WOULD HAVE MADE THOOSE PURCHASES THAT I MADE IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE SERVICE. I DO NOT HAVE AT ANY GIVEN TIME $300.00 FOR A 32' TV. OR $199.00 FOR THE MP3 THAT MY DAUGHTER WANTS FOR HER BIRTHDAY. BUT I CAN MAKE PAYMENTS OVER 60 DAYS TO GET WHATEVER ITEM IT IS THAT I WANT TO BUY. I LIVE IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA I LOST ALOT OF THINGS THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO HURRICANE KATRINA. MOST OF THE ITEMS CAME FROM WAL-MART LAY-A-WAY. IF IT WAS A BED-IN-A-BAG A NEW SOUND SYSTEM. CURTINS WHATEVER I NEEDED I GOT FROM THEM. I JUST DO NOT THINK IF IS WISE TO LET LAY-A-WAY GO. WORKING CLASS PEOPLE NEED A HAND UP WAL-MART WILL BE LETTING GO OF OUR HANDS.

14 Nov 2006 - 22:26    Lynn Ferris :
15 Nov 2006 - 1:04    Ashley : I think Wal Mart has more than enough money to compensate for the layaways. I don't use layaways much but now that my daughter is getting older I will have to start hiding her presents. And with toys costing 40 dollars or more now it's hard to buy them all at one time sometimes people need the layaway.
15 Nov 2006 - 1:33    Mindi : I think that layaway should stay. It is very helpful for the families that can not out right pay for things. I feel that if you remove it you will loose moore buisiness then you are prepared for.

15 Nov 2006 - 2:39    Brenda M :
15 Nov 2006 - 3:03    christa t : I heard a while back that Wal-Mart was eliminating Layaway. I was very suprised. It seems like a major portion of their holiday sales would come from Layaway. I know so many people that use this, especially around Christmas. It really is a shame that walmart isnt more "thoughtfull." But then again, did we really expect that??Hopefully Wal-mart will see a decline in sales, and re-think this decision. Cross your fingers, and if not, shop at Target!! It's better anyways.

15 Nov 2006 - 19:36    C. Lewis : Keep layaways! this is one of the ways the poorer of us can get nice things for our kids. IF Wal-mart cares about its customers that is.

16 Nov 2006 - 20:42    eva : layway help me purchase thing i could not buy at one time you may have to discount some things on layway but walmart should be here to help the customer. if you appreciate your customers you would keep layway
16 Nov 2006 - 23:49    DAVIANNA HUDSON : I CANT GET EVERYTHING I NEED AT ONCE. I THINK YA'LL ARE TRYING TO BE LIKE OTHER STORES LIKE TARGET. WELL THATS WHY I SHOP AT WAL-MART FOR ONE REASON BECAUSE YA'LL HAVE LAYWAY. SO KEEP IT!!!!!!!!

17 Nov 2006 - 9:09    Kelly Hamper : It's sad WalMart is ending such a good thing. Having 3 kids..Christmas time can be a real challenge. I think you will be losing alot of business, from a lot of repeat customers.
17 Nov 2006 - 23:22    Kara Benson : It's not fair. how will i be able to get my Children what they want with out lay-a-way. If you do this i will not shop at Walmart
18 Nov 2006 - 1:43    JENNY TILLMAN : Layaway is great, Walmart makes enough money as it is. To do away with it, I hope they loose money.
18 Nov 2006 - 4:43    Mike Tyson :
18 Nov 2006 - 21:28    Deborah Parker : Walmart is my favorite store. Layaway has always been a good thing, especially when I can't buy everything I need at once. I can always find things I need at Walmart, I don't have to go to another store.
