It is unacceptable that when the U.S. Government is in red with huge federal budget deficits that President Bush created after inheriting large federal budget surpluses from the more economically responsible Clinton Gore Administration that we invest so much money ($10 billion dollars a year) in Iraq when they have amassed a $80 billion dollar federal budget surplus of their own which is completely unused by them on reconstruction efforts and we continue to see red while their (the Iraqis) in green.
Lack of any regulation also contributed to the crisis in the financial and housing markets and the overall economic recession now occurring and bailing out Wall Street was not the answer.
We need to get those troops out of there as soon as possible, they prevent us from pillaging and plundering as we please, also they are totally screwing over our plans to NUKE THE U.S. RIGHT NOW!!! please get those non-islam scum out of our country, NOW!

· The U.N. weapons inspection team was invasively and thoroughly determining whether such weapons or weapons programs existed in Iraq.
· The U.N. Security Council was not willing to grant authority to invade Iraq while the U.N. inspection team was handling the illicit weapons problem peacefully.
· President Bush launched the invasion of Iraq anyway, in contravention of the U.N. Security Council and the U.N. Charter. Without Security Council authorization, the invasion was illegal and must be classified as a war of aggression.
Should Americans be concerned about international law? It is quite clear that Bush has little regard for it. Yet, the United States was founded on the basis of the rule of law. Article VI of the Constitution states that treaties, which this country has signed and ratified, are the "supreme law of the land."

My step-son is in Iraq. He is National Guard and did not enlist to engage in this war. It is disgusting that this war monger President is risking the lives of weekend warriors and other soldiers who didn't enlist to protect a nation a people who do not threaten the U.S. It's time for the Iraqi's to protect themselves and bring our soldiers home to safety.
My husband is in the Army, he's a Cav Scout and will be right on the front lines. I am very worried for him and all of the other brave men and women we have over there, as well as their families back home. Why are we still there? What damn good has it done?
