Goth, as a few have said goths were a tribe of some sort but the 'modern goth' is about state of mind, Creativity , Depth I suppose i can be called a goth, I find beauty in morbid things and i enjoy gothic literature etc But alot of 'goth' is about the style and music.. The dark,morbid side of things is expressed in the form of music , and Black clothing, pale skin etc can be associated with death.. so goth covers practically everything.. And anyone can be a goth.. Aslong as they have the right state of mind Xxx

goth i believe. hmm goth is a stlye of acrchetecture and a germanic tribe, it is also a stlye of LIFE, to all you morons out there who think that goth is dressing in black and wanting to kill yourself, i say you are the stupidest people on the face of this planet, goths do have lives, yes we can smile we can laugh we can be happy, but its the steryotype we must conform to. i believe you cannot become a goth, you are already a goth in your mindset, you just need to evolve it. all goths have differnt ways of dressing as a goth, even though we are in the same cattagory, we are all unique, down to the ways we apply our eyeliner. we might listen to one stlye of music but within the cattagory there is many artists whom have different ways of singing{or yelling.} it is a taste of clothing music and a different taste of a lifestlye, but goths do have lives, we have friends, and its the goddamn steryotype which says all goths are depressed. i am depressed, i am goth, and i dont give a shit. not all goths are the same as i believe i have made this point. its not trying to rebell against something stupid or trying to be a bad ass, i believe thats what rap and hip hop is for. they ae part of a subculture which broke off from punk, which also must conform to a steryotype to satisfy the needs of the modern mob such as todays society. it disgusts me. i am goth, and i want to say i do hope that the sterotypes will be bashed, and we can all get along. though i doubt that will ever happen.

Well i consider my self a goth, and to me it is many things, music, fashion, way of life, but those arn't what goth truely is, those are more on the side aspects of what goth is. To me what it truely is, is being creative, and seeing beauty in darkness. To me this explains the black clothing to most people, and the odd way of dressing is just expressing the inner creativity on the out side apearance. Poetry, Art, music, Fashion, it's all part of the creative dark soul.

goths? beautiful people (in the sense of personality and athetics, mind you) who are generally quite intellegent, creative, and feel fondly towards the obscured and interesting. yes, it's true that many of them wear black or makeup, but it's so much more than just that.
