Before My Chemical Romance existed, I woke up every day, walked out of my house, and glued on the facade I showed to the world. I didn't want anyone to see my lack of direction, terrible family life or my battered soul. Through their music, My Chemical Romance not only showed me that it was okay to be incomplete, but they coaxed me into not fearing myself anymore. Now when I wake in the morning unmasked, I smile and know that even though my life is far from perfect, I will never be without care from these boys even when they've forgotten my face. They know my heart. They did not simply save my life, they healed my soul.
I'm not going to ramble on forever (because no one would want to read that), I am just going to say that the guys in MCR are truly inspiring heroes. They save lives; they saved my life. They have made me proud to be an individual, even though I'm labeled as an outcast. It's hard to explain HOW they've done this with their music, but they have and it's quite incredible. And if people would just listen to what they have to say before labeling them, they would understand that MCR doesn't want you to cut yourself or commit suicide; they want to save your life. They want you to just LIVE, and that's exactly what I'm doing because of them.
Mcr are my life! just to go to 1 of their concerts is my dream... i dont understand how people can like them! they have saved so many peoples life and help me get thru evryday... oh and gerard will you marry me? =]
i totally agree with this petition. if my chemical romance hadnt started up the world would definately be a smaller place. mcr are my hereos and there music makes me feel alive, the media should really get their stories straight.xoxoxTayla
I agree with this petition 99%. I say this because I do not believe that MCR saves lives. I believe they help people save their own lives. I think that's just as good.

I am a much older fan than the typical mcr supporter and I am proud to sign this petition to help the band that has saved so many others. My Chem has given kids the words to express themselves and has told them repeatedly that violence is NOT the answer. Every interview or video of a concert I've seen, Gerard has ALWAYS encouraged the fans to find help and NOT resort to violence. They have shown that we all can make it through the bad times together and we all matter in this world. There is a place for each one of us. I hope that before someones makes a blanket statement about mcr that they have the intelligence to research, as I did, and discover who My Chemical Romance is and what they stand for. I AM A MEMBER OF THE PARADE!!!
They wear black. That doesn't make them dangerous. Black is a color just like any other color. That's no reason to hate. All music has some sadness, happiness, excitement. That's what it's all about. Rappers don't kill people, the people that sing coutry music aren't hillbillies, so MCR isn't emo, and it has NEVER hurt anyone.
I was seriously contemplating killing myself, and it sounds corny, but the song 'famous last words' stopped me. i don't know where i'd be without them, but i certainly wouldn't be alive. it makes me angry when people call MCR a bad influence, because they saved my life!
mcr helped me during a time when i felt like i had to hide every bit of who i was if i wanted to be liked. they told me that it was okay to feel how i felt, and they stopped me from hating myself to the point of extemities. never say that mcr hurts, because it's just the opposite. mcr saves.

MCR has saved my life, and people seem to think that they are harming us. Anyone who is a real fan of MCR looks up to them, and their lyrics keep us going. Before I found My Chemical Romance, my life was worthless, pathetic, pointless, and tortured, or at least that's how I felt. But now I feel that I can be myself no matter what other people say. And I'm happy. Life has a meaning now. And that's thanks to My Chemical Romance. I don't know what's wrong with the people who say that they're bad and encourage suicide, but they obviously haven't listened to what this band has to say. They are amazing and without them I probably wouldn't still be alive, because I was that close to dying both inside and out. Now thanks to them, I can show my scar with pride, defeat the non-believers, and help the broken, the beaten, and the damned. No matter what, they will carry on, and I will go with them.

I'm so happy I found out about this. MCR is the inspiration behind every single one of us, but the media is too stuck-up and can't take their heads out of their asses long enough to to at least look before they say shit about them. That's why we're doing this. To tell those sons of bitches that we believe in the power of MCR.

It's okay, to not be okay. MCR has done nothing but save lives. Parents are just freaking ignorant, and parents act like it's World War 3 in today's society.

I totally agree. Im sick to death of people saying my problem are all in my head because of the music i listen to. What people dont realise is that if it wasnt for MCR my problems would be too difficult to cope with. This band has taught me alot and I will stick by them till the end of time. MCR hav done nothing but good to people, and they should be rewarded for helping, not blamed for something they never did. Im uplifted by their music and they make gettin up on a morning a good thing. I wish I could say a big Thank you to MCR for being their for so many people.
