I don't understand this show being some what similar to dawsons creek style an yet Dawson's Creek being not as good was able to have many many seasons. So what exactly is with that!? Wonderfalls is... Wonderful!!
Completely shellshocked by the news of Wonderfalls cancellation though not completely going on Fox's past inability to spot an amazing show and market it. I'm 110% in support of a DVD release, paid downloads, another network, anything that will keep the show going
screw fox. they cancelled firefly and now its being made into a motion picture. this show is way better than Tru Calling and that show will probably last for 4 more seasons. Weak for not promoting and starting this gem at midseason.
If you cancel every new good show before it has time to gain an audience you'll be left with nothing, nothing to rerun, nothing to sell, nothing to put on dvd, nothing to make a franchaise, spin off series, anything. And then you'll die
the best show. i'm so bummed it was cancelled without support. HELLO. even SEINFELD had horrible ratings, but was allowed to grow. please at LEAST release the rest of the episodes on DVD....
Four episodes? This is only the best TV show ever. FOX should maybe stop being a dumbass & air more episodes. You can't have much of a fanbase with just four episodes. ;[
I loved this show instantly! It's smart, witty, and at times laugh out loud hilarious. Reconsider the cancellation please, thanks!! P.S. Or please allow the show to be picked up by another network that appreciates intelligent well-written shows!
Wtf is this all about? I might cry seriously. I hardly watch TV anymore and you cancel one of the shows that I actually invested my time in. You suck please die.
Wonderfalls. That's another one to add to my list of shows that I loved that Fox canned. Titus, Andy Richter, and Family Guy (just to name a few) were already on the list, but Wonderfalls goes straight to the top, right next to Firefly. Congratulations on once again teasing viewers with a quality show, only to yank it away from us to make room for more crap. Good luck "Herpes Island 4", "Slut Boat 3", "Garden of Whores 2", "World's (blank)iest (blank) 47", and all the other crap you continue to churn out instead of giving intelligent shows time to grow. All you've got left is "24", and if you cancel that you can burn in hell for all I care because I won't be watching.
Fox has a wonderful show on its hands, sweet and hilarious and everything a viewer could want. If only they would give it a chance and a reasonable time slot...
first angel gets cancelled, and now wonderfalls. the least they could do is give the show a chance to build an audience. it was the most innovative and creative show to come along in a long time. shit like "according to jim" will be invading your living room 'till 2012, but any show created without the sitcom-cookie cutter mould is cancelled. i'm praying for at least a DVD.
This is the only show, ever, that I have ever been seriously devoted to, and all because of its wonderful quirky humor that is refreshing and incredibly rare on tv these days. Please, please, bring this show back.
Please bring this show back. It is smart, funny, witty and has a heart. You can really build a audience around such show, believe me. Do not throw away such a gem of a show.
I saw the first few minutes of the pilot at last July's Comic Con in San Diego, where Marty Noxon had come over to talk to us about it, and it was the most promising thing I'd seen all weekend. Waiting eagerly for it to premiere for so many months, and I was not disappointed. Caroline Dhavernas is excellent and different and FUNNY, and the show manages to feel different even though some of its theme have been explored before. I feel it's unfair of Fox to give it the axe after so short a time, when it obviously had so much potential. A good time slot and even just a few more weeks might've done wonders. Shame on you, Fox, for taking away one of the few things worth watching on TV nowadays.
I agree "Get off your ass" We all must take a stand and not watch dumb reality shows...they are killing intelligent, witty, well-written shows. We need to send a clear message to the networks that we are not going to put up with this anymore. Get off your ass.
I saw the first 10 minutes of Wonderfalls in July of 2003 at San Diego Comic Book Convention along with a list of other new shows. Wonderfalls was the one show I was looking forward to. It’s been 8 long months and now I can finally enjoy watching the show every week. Fox, give Wonderfalls a chance. You have a great show on your hands. Please give it lots of love and attention.
This is a disgrace. Quality television is being cancelled left and right. You should be ashamed of cancelling this show when you didn't even give it a chance.
FOX is a bunch of assholes. I'm sick of them. From now on I'll just refer to FOX as ABC-2. All this aside, I better see the rest of the episodes. I'll watch them right after Karen Sisco or Keen Eddie rebroadcasts. And I'll buy the DVD box set in a second. It'll sit right next to my copies of Firefly and the Ben Stiller Show. Note to Joss Whedon, Tim Minear and Co.: Next time aim for HBO, or even FX. Wherever you guys end up working next, I'll be one of the 2.4 million peopel watching your show, most likely right before it gets cancelled. I'll take 13 episodes of Wonderfalls anyday over yet another Law and Order or CSI spinoff. Though, this gives me an idea...Wonderfalls: Miami. Don't say anything...just think about it....
I rarely watch TV, and it was a fluke that I happened to turn on the TV the moment the first episode of Wonderfalls came on. I was instantly captivated! It's hilarious, refreshing, creative, and I feel like Jaye Tyler and I could be kindred spirits. The show is a 180 degree turn from those trashy and rapidly getting old reality shows. I was just beginning to look forward to watching television again. Please bring Wonderfalls back!
Hopefully something will come of this; but with the inmates running the asylum at Fox TV, don't hold your breath. Best wishes to Caroline Dhavernas and the rest of the cast of the fabulous show.
It is impossible for a show to increase its ratings by moving it and immediately cancelling it. The history of television is full of shows that only hit their stride and caught on in their second or third SEASON, not episode. The history of television is also riddled with the corpses of brilliant shows that were killed off before they ever got a chance. "Wonderfalls" should be in the former category, not the latter.
Such a wonderful and fresh show hidden in all the reality trash that exists on the (and other) networks, a real gem that will remain hidden for the rest of time, unless renewed, which would be good.
nooooooo...don't be careless and cancel another quality show, let it find its audience like seinfeld did...
comeonnnnn there's nothing else left to watch!
Fox must have a death wish for WONDERFALLS putting it on Thursdays. Why not Mondays at 8? There is NOTHING worth my time on then. I need something to sink my teeth into when I come home from a crappy Monday where everything goes wrong. The first two episodes had me screaming and laughing OUTLOUD at the TV. Screaming out of recognition of this girls life.
I have loved this show from the start. I saw great wit, heart, and character depth and knew it was something very special. I wanted this show to go on and on. It was the only show I was looking forward to in the Fall. Not anymore. I'm sad it's gone. If Wonderfalls is released on DVD I will buy it, and encourage my friends to buy it. Wonderfalls was the best new show on TV this year and I mourn it's early demise.
This show is such a breath of fresh air with its intelligent writing, interesting characters, humor and heart. I am deeply upset to hear that it's been cancelled after only four episodes - three of which were aired in a bad timeslot and the fourth, in an equally bad time slot against a highly successful "reality" show. I am disappointed in FOX for not attempting to do more to put this show out there and help it succeed. I'm not a regular viewer of programs on FOX and now I will be watching one less show on this station. Bring this show back; give it a decent chance in a decent time slot. Bring back good television!
This is one of the best shows on TV. Please don't cancel it because there are so many Americans would rather watch mindless "reality" television than a program that has actual thought behind it. If Fox is too insane to bring it back I urge another station to pick it up!
This show is (or WAS) so brilliant and witty. FOX is completely insane if they want to cancel it after only FOUR episodes! We don't need anymore reality shows for god's sake. This was a breath of fresh air from all the crap on TV today.
I"d suggest FOX at least show a few more episodes in a new timeslot, something other than the likes of #1 CSI. It doesn't take a genius to know you can't go head on head with a new show to reigning champions.
This show is too good to be lost. I was e-mailing my friends to watch it. Over the last two or three years there has not been one TV program that has caught my interest until now. Finally something good to bring me back to the tube. Fox, you've obviously got a fan base for this show. Please try a little harder to find them and you will be rewarded. Believe me, I've been in the advertising business over 25 years now. Put this show back on before the opportunity goes away.
Please give this show another chance! It's a wonderful show that's been highly reviewed and everyone loves it! Just give it another chance, if it can air when a reality show or sports is not on it wil flourish and you'll be glad you kept it!
Please give this show more of a chance..at least air the rest of the episodes that have been shot and give it time to gain an audience. It faced stiff competition from the NCAA Finals. We don't need another lame reality show..you are giving me less and less reasion to watch your network.
It had the pseudo-spirituality and heart of Joan of Arcadia, but with a cynical twist that made it entirely its own, and one of the few live-action shows I watch today, amid reality TV and terrible sitcoms. Please reconsider cancelling one of the most compelling and genuinely terrific shows on television.
Dont be too busy trying to succeed at life that you forget to live it FOX. This was a good show that didn't capitalize on today's generations aspirations of fame and greed.See past the profits.
For once, this was an actul tv show that didn't involve aspiring pop stars or people who can't act who just want to be on a reality show. It had humor I could relate to and I'd always looked forward to the next episode ever since the first!!!
Please reconsider!!!
This is completely devastating. I fell totally in love with this show and now it's gone after 4 FLIPPING EPISODES! In *my* world that is NOT the equivalent of giving a show a chance. FOX truly doesn't understand that you don't always get instant success - sometimes you have to show a modicum of patience. This season has marked the END of quality TV. Time of Death...
Please stop cancelling good shows. It's getting rather tiresome. It's a great show. Sell it. Give it a good timeslot. Don't expect it to beat Trump or CSI after four episodes. Many great shows (Buffy, Cheers, Seinfeld, etc.) started slowly.
Fox, I applaud you for taking a chance with the show, Wonderfalls. This is a prime example of television at its very best. This program is smart, unique, and has a cast/crew that is more than capable of holding its own.
Now, I appeal to in hopes that you will change your mind regarding your latest decision to cancel it. You've already took a great risk in producing this show. I plead that you please take another risk in putting your faith in it as well. In your truly brave act in choosing this show, you've started something that could have the potential for a great television success. But, that cannot be completed if you do not have the courage to give Wonderfalls the proper backing.
Please reconsider your decision with Wonderfalls. And take another chance with this brave show. Just as you had with 24, which itself is also very different, but also very successful.
FOX has got to be the worst channel on basic television. Why? They put out absolute grade A CRAP. I'm sick of those terrible reality shows, those disgustinginly unfunny spin offs, and those ridiculous specials. BUT- once in awhile FOX will produce something great. This season brought two great things, Arrested Development, and Wonderfalls. They are two of the greatest shows on tv right now. FOX has this excellent dimaond in the ruff. What do they do? They move it around, and then cancel it. FOX should be ashamed! DON'T CANCEL WONDER FALLS! It's your only chance at ANY KIND OF AWARD. But of course you don't care about that, like some of the BETTER NETWORKS.
