It makes no sense for Fox to pay for quirky, wonderful shows like "Wonderfalls" and then not give them a chance to build an audience. Instead, they support cheap to make reality shows that are far from entertaining. I'd just like to say that I'd happily buy this show and DVD and pop it in whenever a reality show is on--just like I'm doing with "Firefly."
I really don't understand the logic here...take the best new show on tv, after three episodes change its night with barely any notice to the fans and then cancel it when ratings go down slightly. I was a much happier person when I didn't have a tv and couldn't get attatched to shows just to have my hopes crushed when fox canceled them.
I love "Wonderfalls" and I vow to watch it in whatever time spot the network places it in! This is MY FAVORITE new show on television! Please do not take it off.
Just another in a long list of great shows that FOX was too shortsighted to realize the value of. They probably cancelled it to make way for "When animal figurines attack, 4!" or some other equally bogus piece of crap. Damn it, this is one of the few decent shows on television.
One of the best shows I've seen in awhile- I really looked forawrd to watching this every week (and on Thursday, it was even better). I am now profoundly dissappointed in FOX.
Everything I read about this series was positive and yet you cancel it after three episodes? What happened to the days when you would let a series at least have a chance. I know it goes back aways, but X-FILES wasn't an immediate hit either.
This is the best show on tv right now and it barely had a chance for survival. Give it a second life, FOX. "Get off your ass" and put wonderfalls back on.
I don't quite understand FOX's reasoning for this cancellation, the show scored ok ratings in the first few episodes, about the same as OC the first time it aired. The only other show I can think of on FOX right now that is doing better is probably OC an AMERICAN IDOL. Also 24 has a following. But seriously, the reality thing is getting old and tired. That EDEN show is garbage. That show ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT is garbage. I don't know what you were thinking.
FOX if you really wanted Wonderfalls to suceed you should have moved it to Mon or Tues at 8PM. Why do you always put your best shows on deathrow (Thurs and Friday nights), but air the trash we don't care about (excluding 24) on Mon to Wed?
Please, FOX, respect the opinions of your viewers. Keep Wonderfalls on the air. We all know that reality shows are cheaper to produce than unique shows like Wonderfalls. But we all know that without quality, there's no point in quantity.
Yet another miserable failure on the part of Fox when it comes to original entertainment, estpecially in this age of 'reality' dross. How did Chris Carter ever keep 'X-Files' on this network for so long?
How can they cancel the best show on television? It's getting a slow start, but so did Buffy the Vampire Slayer and that lasted for seven seasons and is a cult favorite. Just give the show a chance and move it back to Fridays at nine.
I had the chance to watch two episodes of Wonderfalls, and I couldn't wait for it to be aired here in Germany. It would be a shame if this show wouldn't be continued... :-(
We've read this story before. New show comes out, critics love it, we love it, the station cancels it. I do not want to have this happen to Wonderfalls, it's an amazing show and it has so much potential.
There are only a couple show with substance left out there and wonderfalls is one of them. Give this show a chnace it will catch on. What did fox exspect the rating to be when they put it on friday and wedsday. Put it on monday instead of that 70 show reruns.
It's a shame that so many innovative shows are on the firing line. First, Brotherhood of New Hampshire was shot down. Now this. And it appears that Arrested Development may also be cancelled? There are people out there that want this. Please save the show.
Give this marvelous show another chance! Give it a good time slot and a some great promotion. You will find an audience. Please do not give up on this show!
So many of the shows now considered television "classics" got off to a slow start. Does Fox really have anything better to replace Wonderfalls? I doubt it. Lease give this creative, entertaining show a chance to be seen and appreciated.
You have the among the five finest TV shows "currently" in production in Wonderfalls. I urge you with all my heart to more effort into cultivating it's audience. It's a sure bet to be an all time classic and cancelling it with such an embarrassingly small amount of time to develop is a tragic mistake.
Fox, you are unreal. You give a new show 4 episodes to find an audience. 4! The people runnin that network are insane. Do I have to say it again? 4?!?!?!?!
My advice to anyone with and intelligent, creative, unique show idea ~ don't pitch it to FOX!!! Wonderfalls joins John Doe, Firefly, Space Above and Beyond, Harsh Realm ... FOX you truly are run by the soulless and the inane!!
ratings only tell typical families who are watching television, but there is nothing typical about wonderfalls. Maybe FX could play the remaining episodes
I have been telling everybody here in Canada about this show. I don't watch a lot of television except for "24" and I found this show to be something I could watch religiously. THANKS FOR NOTHING!! The last show I enjoyed was cancelled as well "UNDECLARED" Back to not watching crap.
This was a refreshing change to the general garbage television thats been floating around more and more recently, where does it all end? Why not cancel all news aswell?
When someone comes up with something different it never lasts long, and those who are sick of average tv fair are out in the cold again. Please reconsider, and continue prodution of Wonderfalls. thanks
I thought "Wonderfalls" was a wonderful alternative for those of us who enjoyed "Ed" on NBC (also cancelled this season). Oh well... guess I'll wait for the DVD.
Sometimes good shows need more than three or four episodes to find their audience. Especially when the show is moved to a different time slot. What really galls me is a quality show may live on for years in re-runs, yet money/ratings are worshiped for the short term success of reality shows that may never be seen again after their first (who would watch it again?) run!
Yet another excellent show killed before it's prime. Tired rehashings of "reality" TV shows that have nothing to do with so-called 'Reality'. FOX should see the error of it's ways with the rebirth of Family Guy and Firefly going on to a feature motion picture. Give this gem a chance, FOX, and I'll do the same. Otherwise you'll lose this viewer altogether.
Why FOX? It's not like i can trust FOX anymore. They put shows on and take them off without ever giving them an actual chance. Take this fabulously done shw, raved by everyone. Kristin Veitch even loved it (from E! Television) and she has great taste. If Kristin reads this plan a petition of your own. FOX? Give shows a better chance. Trying moving this show to a better day.
When there are so few good shows on tv, why would this one be cancelled? Give it a chance, put it during a time slot where it won't be killed by the larger power networks, and I bet it would find a nitch. I know I love the show!!
I waited nearly 6 months for the second ep of this show after checking out the pilot this fall. I thought it was the best show I'd see all year. First John Doe, now Wonderfalls. :(
Maybe it'll pull a Keen Eddie and the rest of the 13 eps will show up on Bravo.
American Embassy, Space: Above and Beyond. The list of good shows axed by FOX just keeps getting longer. :(
Wonderfalls was an innovative, entertaining and smart show. This move just goes to show that there is no more room for quality, quirky shows on TV while absolutely inane "reality" shows rule the airwaves.
First Angel, now Wonderfalls? The networks really don't know what quality television is anymore. Just listen to the fans...we know. This show deserves to be saved!
There are only 2 reasons I watch Fox now a days. Those reasons being 24 and Wonderfalls. I've been hooked from the beginning of both shows. Wonderfalls is just such a great show. Fox how can you tell how good a show is going to do in only 4 episodes!! I really really hope that they give it a chance. It's one of the best shows out there right now. Fox you need a good show to help you out. Who cares about the TV ratings it's getting. The reviews are great and it's already building a great fan base. Don't give up on Wonderfalls!!!!!!!!!!
