Had they given this a longer chance at life, it would have been a long-running show. Pulled the plug WAY too fast, FOX is shooting itself in the foot...
This is sooooo sad!
Finally a show that I fell in love with since the beginning, and it's been cancelled in the 4th episode! NOT fair!
A LOT of people weren't aware that it changed time slots, so that explains the lower ratings on Thursday! Common sense!
I have been with the show from the begiining and since then have hooked a dozen of my friends. The network needs to give the show time to grow and find a fan base
FOX this was the best thing going for you, if you do a much hyped re-launch and announce any and all moving it does then you will have a huge hit! Caroline Dhavernas is the next Lucille Ball, she is to funny!
Stop canceling great shows. Shows like Buffy and Stargate did not even get a strong following till the second season. So give shows a chance before cancelling them for crappy reality tv.
NICE WORK FOX!!! You've really got this marketing strategy down. First it's on Friday, then it's on Thursday, then it's gone. Without an AD in sight. I'm sure everyone just logged into the computer every few hours to see if it was moving. No need to tell anyone! I mean, it certainly worked for The Tick, when you aired it at 4 different times on 3 different nights in a 3 week span, all without ads. And Firefly, well that didn't get moved, but showing them out of order certainly helped. It's so much easier to get into the characters when you REMOVE THE PILOT!! Not to mention it too held that coveted Friday evening timeslot. SMRT! Oh yeah, and Richter! I nearly forgot Richter. How many times did you move that one? Doesn't matter, you canned it before you could get a fanbase anyway. Just like the others. I'm sure you're proud of your strategy, it definitely seems to be working, as you will SURELY win the friday evening market now that you've cleared up a slot for....? Well, whatever it is, I'd like to pre-order the DVD set now, if possible; since I'll most likely love it, watch it, and see it suffer the same fate as all the other quality television you have briefly held.
i'd like to throw my support behind any petition which might bring Wonderfalls back to my TV set whether it be rebroadcast, a new channel or via DVD. thanks
alisa
Fox is following in ABC's famous footsteps... cancelling great shows. It's so frustrating to invest time in a show only to have it pulled after only almost a handful of shows have aired. If you're not going to renew it, at LEAST air the existing 13 during the summer, when "no one watches anyway."
Fox never gives good shows a chance to grow an audience. For instance: Firefly, John Doe, Fastlane, etc...
They just stick good shows in crappy time slots and when they do the ratings that is expected of that time slot, the just cancel them. There are some great minds in the programming dept. at Fox. They should all be fired!
Wow! FOX did it again! First "The Family Guy" and now "Wonderfalls". You saw what happened when "The Family Guy" was released on DVD. It held the #1 selling DVD spot on Amazon for 3 weeks. FOX SUCKS!!!
I am so fed up with fox! It is fast becoming a trash tv network with all of the reality crap they continue to air. They finally hit the jackpot and air a show that is actually entertaining and it gets cancelled. If they do, in fact, pull this show I will be blocking our local fox affiliate from my television.
I find it rather disturbing that Fox can air such garbage as "Who wants to marry a millionaire and a host of other reality crap. Yet they fail to see the ingenuity and originality of Wonderfalls. If you ask me this show is too good for "Fox". Maybe it's because ther arent any contestants deceiving, backstabbing or sleeping with each other. Lets bring television back to some sense of decency. "Wonderfalls" is the perfect show to begin the transformation.
Please don't cancel Wonderfalls! Besides being funny, it is good CLEAN humor! How rare is it to see good clean shows anymore, without seeing nude bodies or hearing vulgarity. PLEASE LEAVE THE SHOW ON!
I stopped watching TV almost completely in the past 2 years, with the occasional nick at nite and daily morning news. I was sick of seeing airtime wasted on terrible shows, and great shows falling into oblivion. What's this Tru Calling BS? That show is absolutly horrible, but is it doing well? I have no idea, actually, but it probably is considering what most of America see's as good. Alot of people are too normal to be inspired by a show like this, my mother and grandmother think it's too weird, and...I don't think they even watched a full episode. They just don't get that you can accomplish so much more escaping from the run of the mill. Anyways, too much typing here probably. Wonderfalls is the only original, creative gem of a show I've seen in the past couple years, and it's brought me back into the position of a swooning, regularly viewing audience member. There are plenty of people who appreciate the greatness and superiority this show has, and hopefully you'll give more people a chance to catch onto this as well. I think that's finally it.
Give this show a chance to grow, or at least release the DVDs so we can see what was never aired. Maybe even charge a bit more for the DVD to makeup for lost ad revenue. And quit cancelling quality shows. Be a leader, teach free TV to support quality. Lose Forever Eden to free up some room.
Out of 300 cable channels and all the shows, I accidentally loved Wonderfalls from the first episode. Its a funny, sexy, animated, drama that can encaptivate anyone like a warm blanket. And just to save a penny FOX won't even give it a second chance. So if you don't want others to get hurt, listen to that wax lion and... find a penny and pick it up!
Please do not cancel Wonderfalls. This show is one of the most original, witty, and funny I have seen come out of TV is a long time. Please consider a DVD release of all the episodes as a last resort!
Put it back on, please! Here in Minnesota, I had to search when it was on, due to preemptions because of college basketball. I found it was moved to Thursdays quite by accident while flipping chennels. Point is: if I wasn't working hard to seek out this show, I never would have known about it, let alone watched it. It hasn't been given a decent chance to find an audience, so please reconsider and put it back on!
I love this show! It's just awesome! FOX please...have mercy! I even watched Tru Calling last week and that show can't compare to Wonderfalls!
Do something smart FOX, keep Wonderfalls!
What can I say? One of the best shows in YEARS. Can't you give it a chance (changing timeslots with no warning or advertizing and cancelling after one night in said time slot does not constitute "giving the show a chance")?
I wonder why Wonderfalls had to fall.
Dear People at Fox Network, The TV show Wonderfalls is a great written show w/ a great cast and your network shouldn't be canceling it b/c it makes us fans angrey and they deserve a chance to see more great episodes of Wonderfalls YOU ARE MAKING A MISTAKE. You have canceled great shows like Dark Angel, Family Guy, Fire Fly, and etc. All those shows everyone has LOVED so, please kepp this show on and don't make another mistake of canceling a good show and putting a load of reality crap on telvison. This is for my boy Nick Dilgilio on Radio 720 AM in chicago. You Rock Nick. Your my idol
Please don't kill Wonderfalls. It is the most promising new show to appear on broadcast television in years. FOX erred in canceling Action with Jay Morh before it even got a chance to prove itself; don't make the same error with Wonderfalls. This show has every bit as much promise as Dead Like Me, if not more, and should be given the opportunity to prove itself.
One of the most entertaining shows to show up on network television in years, and it's cancelled in four episodes? Come on - give this show a real chance, air it at a time when people will actually watch it, and promote it. Don't give up before you've even tried.
I love Wonderfalls! It can't be cancelled yet...people haven't even gotten a chance to get into it, its only been 4 episodes! Wait a couple more weeks at least!
It just amazes me that fantastic shows like Wonderfalls are given the ax, while crap like Forever Eden lives to stink another day. Who makes these asinine decisions? The Littlest Groom? Puh-leeze. Hey Fox - please get a clue and bring this show back on the air. Thanks.
Unbelievable. A TV network finally takes a chance on an intelligent, funny, extremely well written show ... and then pulls the plug. Hopefully the show will be picked up by a channel with true vision and commitment. Where's the DVD petition? (I would buy 2 sets of this show) Shame on you FOX.
Bah to Fox, I say. I've followed the network since I was just a little kid, watching Married with Children, the Simpsons, Herman's Head etc but now? Not anymore. I refuse to support a network whose only interest is feeding the brainless masses with hours of insipid reality tv.
Why do all the good to excellent television get the axe and the silly ones stay on the airwaves? No network programer is going to tell what I can or can not watch.
what is up with tv today, all it seems to show is stupid stuff, and when they do have a good show they pull it off air again, right before alot of people get to know about it. personaly i think they should leave it on, they are right in the middle of survivors and most people dont know about this show that they are trying to get rid of, leave this show on the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderfalls is truly an original, entertaining show. But with all the reality TV crap out there, it just didn't stand a chance. PLEASE, FOX, run all the filmed episodes.
