Friday night at 9pm, how does that add up to success for anyone. Give CSI or any other high ratings show this slot and watch it croak as well. Come on fox, give shows a chance...
I would like to know what is wrong with television brass. Why is it that mindless excrement known as "reality shows" remain on television with coveted time-slots and extravagant marketing while intelligent, quality programming such as Wonderfalls is brushed aside and cancelled before it even has time to gain an audience. I am an over-educated 23 year old college graduate and my advice to FOX is to do the American viewers a favor and stop underestimating our intelligence by allowing dynamic programming like Wonderfalls to remain on the air!
It is incredibly disheartening that FOX is unwilling to stand behind a show like this that is witty, inovative and thought provoking. Why on earth can't they play out the initial run and do some advertising to bolster this show?
How do expect to build an audience with only four showings? Why not give the show a fair shot since you've already invested in 13 episodes? I know the networks aren't supposed to have intelligent programming any more, but why not give it a shot?
Fox sucks. They come up with great, innovative shows, put them in horrible time slots, and then cancel them before they have a chance to gain an audience.
Please give this show a chance. It hasn't been given a decent time slot yet. Have patience. It's inconceivable that you can provide programming like The Swan and Forever Eden and cancel one of the few quality shows you have on the air.
I liked Wonderfalls from the begining. I am unemployer with no money. I will do almost anything to get Wonderfalls on dvd if the show is ever released on dvd.
Come on Fox. How many shows are you going to cancel like this? Why don't you just forget about quality programming altogether and just show reality shows and give the good ones like wonderfalls to FX. At least then I wouldn't get my hopes up. I knew better than to get hooked on a fox show because if I liked it at all, you'd cancel it.
I love this show. Witty, charming, much like me woman with very unique brain in a mundane world. Too bad Fox sucks the life outta good things to propel televised excrement like reality teevee. you're alienating your demo, you idiots!
Just change the time slot!! Don't put a new, awesome show on Friday night! That was a ridiculous programming error!
Move the show to another night & see it thrive!
Please don't cancel this show. It's AWESOME!
Don't cancel this show!! It has every chance of being a long running hit if you give it a chance, it's been given no opportunity to prove itself at this point.
Save this show! It's unique & quirky.
It hasn't even been given a chance.
In the world of stale TV where they would rather air reruns of shows aired long ago (gilmore girls) instead of new ones, don't get rid of the shows that stand a chance!!
I've sent a message to Fox, and their local DC affiliate, to let them know that I have removed Fox from my channel listing. First Firefly, now this. Great TV is dead.
Fox! What're you thinking? Wonderfalls was a good show! At least give it the 13 episodes in a decent time slot before you make a stupid decision like this! Your Sunday Night Lineup could be: Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, Bernie Mac, Arrested Development, and Wonderfalls! I wouldn't stop watching!
Perhaps if you gave this show a worse time slot (say, Mondays at 3am?!) it could have been cancelled a couple of weeks earlier. Or maybe if the day on which it aired was switched one more time in less than a month even fewer people would have had a chance to see the show! In any case, I would love to buy a DVD of all 13 filmed episodes.
How can Fox keep funding their Reality TV shows that mostly stink, and not give the shows that would have a chance if given enough time to blossom a shot at making it big?
Doesn't Fox remember that it built its network by pursuing raw, quality and scrappy shows, giving them enough time to breathe and foster audiences? Bring Wonderfalls back, quick.
this one just didn't have time to catch people's attention! stick with it, try a different time slot, let viewers have a chance to find out about this quirky, clever, and surprisingly funny series.
no more reality shows. plz, it's getting old. But wait, old folks think that trends are good. That's until something wonderful comes out and beats everything else that was a trend.
This show was great and got better each episode. Why give it crappy time slots only to cut it's life short. I don't want all networks to have reality shows on them...this was a great show that I got into and now I got kicked in the teeth for doing so!
I am quite distraught that such a potentially excellent show was cancelled so early in its run. Shows need time to garner viewers, and four episodes is not enough to judge a show's staying power. If the show cannot be resurrected, I would very much enjoy a DVD compilation of ALL the shows available, as all 13 will at least tell the story as it is currently written. Thank you!
Per Tim Minear's belief that getting a DVD of the complete season (including the yet to be aired, additional nine 'sodes) is the best place to put our efforts, I'd like to ask for the release of a "Complete Wonderfalls" DVD set, please. Would I rather see this show back on the air? Sure. Barring that, I have cash. Gimme my DVD's.
Wonderfalls is one of the few original ideas to come out in a while. I fell in love with this show within the first half hour. It does'nt deserve to get the axe after only 4 episodes.
Another well-written show that was thrown to the wolves and not supported all that well bites the big one. Too bad networks do not like great TV. Please at least bring it to DVD.
Another great show cancelled by Fox!!!!
What is wrong with these people???
Wonderfalls was imaginative, incredibly well played, sharply written, had great production values...
So it gets cancelled. Try to understand.
Wonderfalls is the best new show I've seen this season. The pilot and (the original) 2nd episode in particular were brilliant. It was the two inbetween these that the network requested that were bad.
NOOOO!! Put Wonderfalls back on the air! Why must you torture us like this FOX, taking away all the good shows and filling the timeslot up with crap like American Idol! Why!!
Okay, so WF was cancelled, and Tru Calling is still on? WTF? I just might stop watching television all together because everything clever and intelligently written is cancelled. This totally bites.
Wonderfalls is witty and clever and actuallly makes me laugh out loud - something rare in most comedies these days. This show is so quirky and original. I KNOW it could survive if given a decent time slot and a chance. I didn't even realize it had changed timeslots from Fridays to Thursdays and felt rather confused (and disappointed) when it wasn't on. There's not many shows I would have stayed in on a Friday night for, but Wonderfalls was one of them. What a shame.
Wonderfalls is the only show of the new season that I actually enjoy. Fox has proved once again they are way to trigger happy with good shows like Wonderfalls and Keen Eddie. This just makes me want to watch Fox less because why should I invest my time in a show that will most likely get cancelled.
Once again FOX dooms a quality show by scheduling it on Friday night (the FOX graveyard) and then promptly re-scheduling to a different night against the highest rated program on television (CSI). At the very least consider selling the rights to Bravo, as they are willing to air quality programming.
Another show that shows great potential that is yanked off the air too soon. For any exec reading this, watch the E! True Hollywood story about Cheers for crying out loud - dead last its first season, but was upped for a second season and now makes everyone involved millions.
