FOX has really dropped the ball this time.
Just as I find it very easy to boycott Viacom and it's advertisers, I will find it equally easy to boycott FOX and theirs.
This is a great show. It is silly and intelligent. I love it. It is the one show I look forward to seeing at the beginning of the week. But, seeing as Fox is committed to lack of quality, I am not surprised by the move. Idiots!
This show is great--not only is it profoundly funny, its quirky characters are entertaining and thought-provoking. Where else could we see a Republican lesbian???? HILARIOUS!!!
A unique, witty show, Wonderfalls was the best new show out there. Not normally a Friday night viewer, I made sure to catch each episode. I hope that Fox reconsiders its position and gives it another shot.
Seriously, one of the best new shows in a long time. With this Friends wrapping up, I have yet to find a new show that really interests me. Wonderfalls was it, and now it already on the chopping block. So sad.
By far the best new
american show of 2003/4.
One of the most insanely creative shows
ever made, it's style and plot are constantly
shifting. I would buy a DVD box set
even after only seeing 4 episodes.
4 episodes and that's it??? It's the only show my wife and I agree on watching regularly and now it's cancelled! Fox execs, you should be ashamed of yourselves for not giving this show a chance!
This is the only new show that I liked this year! With so many shows going off the air this year they should certainly keep this!!! Something smart, witty, & fun!!! (And not reality TV!!!)
I am very disappointed with FOX on dumping this show and so fast. I feel it may fare better off-network where a lot of the good shows are coming from these days. It was too good for FOX and it's low-brow audience.
Wonderfalls is an excellent, well-written show. Can we PLEASE put a freeze on the moronic reality shows and keep some good television! If I'm forced to watch DVD's only, then I won't see ANY of your advertising. Keep this show!
Fox is truly the leader in driving people away from network television and into the arms of cable and rentals. I wonder what they'll do when reality shows and the few aging hits they've got have run their course? Viewers like me aren't going to bother watching any new, quality offerings they may try in the future because they've proven they won't give good shows a chance. Pity.
my friend Jason is a BIG QUEEN and he will die if this show is cancelled..or doesnt come out on DVD. So inorder to save JASON I am signing this petition for him and all of the other BIG QUEENS who are saddened by this loss.
Another top-notch show with great potential axed. Hey Fox, how 'bout another reality show? The dwarf can marry the winner of the swan? Or the loser, or whatever.
I am very sad. It is only one of two programs that I enjoy on television. The second being six feet under. I felt that wonderful was a work of craftsmenship, funny, touching and poignant. I will be sad if it goes and hope that this cancellation can be reversed
I only got to see one episode so far, but I had to keep watching to see what was going to happen. Kind of like a train wreck, but good, and without the chaos, destruction, and corpses.
I think Wonderfalls is intelligent, witty and quirky. I love the show. It would be a terrible thing if Fox doesn't give it more of a chance than just four episodes. In what bizarro world is that fair?
This is hilarious, catchy and smart! I'm not sure if this show is in jeopardy -but all my friends love it! Much better than the marketing made it seem. I hope if it does get axed HBO or someone snags it. Fox give it a chance. In a year it might be your next X Files or Friends.
Four episodes isn't nearly enough tine for a great but quirky show like this to find an audience. Critics LOVED it (which is pretty darn rare for a FOX show). Come on, FOX... have some guts and bring it back!
the show has only been on for 3 WEEKS!!! give it a chance!!!! whats next, is fox going to get rid of the simpsons? Wonderfalls is one of the best tv shows i watch.
i KNEW this show would get axed! why?
because it was clever, funny, original and had great characters played by a great cast...GIVE IT A CHANCE! 4 EPISODES!?!..i slept on the first episode but once i caught it (accidently) i instantly loved it (maybe it will get picked up by another station a la "grounded for life)
Please keep this show on the air! The 4 episodes shown so far have been a breath of fresh air. You've pitted it against the juggernaut "The Apprentice" on Thursdays. "The Apprentice" ends it's season in a couple weeks, so please let "Wonderfalls" hang in there so it can build it's audience.
First Fox sticks its last great new show Keen Eddie in the summer, where since it wasn't geared for horny bored teenagers it failed, then Fox doesn't even give Wonderfalls a fighting chance. It's as if the network wants all of the money it invests in making these shows to go down the toilet. But hey, its not their fault, they tried. They even moved it Thursday before pulling the plug. Oops, that was sarcasm, I don't think anyone at Fox actually understands that.
Wonderfalls is one of the coolest shows to be on TV this year. It deserves a chance that goes way BEYOND four episodes. Its funny, its witty, and the plots are actually ORIGINAL.
Okay, I love Arrested Development, but would MUCH prefer to see Wonderfalls in that time slot. It's such a GREAT show! Fox needs to stop killing smart humor.
Fox network executives...please get your head out from where the sun does not shine and keep this show on. All of the reality TV and dumbed down programming of the last few years has really driven me away from network TV in general. Wonderfalls is a smart and innovative show. 4-5 episodes is not enough to build an audience. Do not stop airing it when it has not had an opportunity to get off of the ground and get a fan base.
Learn from Family Guy, learn from Buffy...you need to keep with the shows in order to gain viewers. Try a new night, and keep your air times consistent. Put it up against "Average Joe" or some dumb reality TV show. Show something that is smart and creative for once. I try not to watch cable all of the time, but the networks seem to show very little concern for airing something of quality.
WHY?
Wonderfalls is a terrific show. It needs to stay. It was killed from the beginning by airing in a terrible time slot. Give it a chance by giving it a better air day and time. That's only fair.
Cancelling this show is a big mistake.
Why even bother creating unique and interesting programming if your going to shove it into the "FOX FRIDAY NIGHT DEATH SLOT"? How many shows are you guys going to cancel before you realize that Friday night is the worst night for genre programs. Fox is the ultimate cock tease. You develop unique programming to titilate a hungry audience, then yank it after 4 episodes, leaving the audience with a horrid case of "blue balls" I guess Wonderfalls will join the ranks of Firefly, Futurama, Family Guy, Keen Eddie, Dark Angel and a host of other programming that you never even gave a fair chance. Just keep churning out reality shows.
Give the show a chance! Don't put it on a Friday or against the #1 shows on TV! This is a niche show for people that appreciate intelligent humor! It didn't even get a chance to pick up an audience!
