The first program I've thought of as "good" to appear on Fox in years - and you kill it!
Bad scheduling - you're getting good at it.
My wish? CBS takes the ball off you and scores the touchdown with this show.
Wonderfalls is/was
WONDERFUL !!!!
It takes TIME for a
series to develop
it's characters and
style. This show was creative and
the humour was intelligent and
very witty
(something unique to broadscast tv).
It only received 2.1 million viewers
when it was shown in the Thursday time slot because there was little if no advertisement
about the scheduling change,
and it was pitted
against two very
popular and established shows.
An UNFAIR and not very smart move by FOX if it wanted this series to grow and survive.
And I guess the sponsors figure
intelligent viewers with
taste don't have the ca$h to buy their products. How silly.
Please know that if
FOX decides to make
the move to offer this series on DVD
that we Wonderfalls
fans will express our good taste and spend our good ca$h on a
quality product.
THANKS! - Nikki
Please air all the episodes. Come on, give this show a chance to reach it's audience. Many fine programs like Seinfeld took months to break through. We need more wonder and less "reality."
reality shows are killing the tv and the good shows who come whit it and it's a shame that they don't give wonderfall a chance
give them a chance and the people will follow and stop reality show by the way because now they are all boring...
Too many times have shows as marvelous as Wonderfalls have had the plug pulled on them, in spite of their critical acclaim. This show deserves to be watched and cherished for many more seasons to come. I love it, and undoubtedly there are many just like me. So please save this show!
Praise to the production, actors, staff & writers of this insightful and thought provoking show. Wonderfalls was a many-layered masterpiece of television craftsmanship. The canceling of this series is an example of the decline of intelligent programming. In four episodes, you had me cheering at events, laughing out loud, and rearranging my schedule to watch this show. It didn't take four episodes - you had me on the pilot. Fox has decided to stay in the "twentieth century" by not giving this show a chance. Showtime, if you're out there... pick this one up and pair it with "Dead Like Me." The writers would have more freedom as well. HBO, Comedy Central, UPN, WB... you're all welcome to pick this up. You've got one viewer right here.
WOnderfalls is WONDERFULL!!! You are a very stupid network for making one of the best comedys ever obsolete. The closest thing for family entertainment is NickatNite, for everything on the main netowrks is either a reality show, or a unfunny low rate sitcom. We finally come across one of the few great shows that come out each season, but you dump it like Waynes Bros. spinoff. Why do you taint the tv audience with garbage? why?
This is the best show i have ever seen. It's not fair that pieces of crap like Tru Calling and The Swan are given so much publicity, while great shows like Wonderfalls are not plugged and given a crappy time slot. C'mon, nine o'clock on a Friday! Give Wondrfalls another chance. Give the show a better time slot and you will see how it is going to find an audience.
Figures that Fox would cancel something intelligent, ORIGINAL, well-written and hilarious. Not to mention music by Andy Partridge. I'm sick of all the trash TV and reality fodder. Bring back Wonderfalls!
Hmmmm...If only they were so quick to cancel their dumb reality tv shows (ie "The Swan). Of course they would not want to continue a show with actual content...we are talking about Fox, after all. In other words, please don't cancel this great show!
Please, bring Wonderfalls back! it's bad enough already that the WB's cancelled Angel... there are no good shows on TV anymore, it's all stupid sitcoms and reality shows! whatever happened to good quality TV?! please don't let this happen to us, save this show! and save TV!
Why wasn't this show given a chance? It is funny, smart, thought provoking, and ironic. Who could ask for anything more in a show? Fox doesn't give the viewing audience credit.
Please keep Wonderfalls running. It is a new and refreshing show from the humdrum of "Reality TV Hell". In a time where people are becoming bored with watching yet another model/actress try to find true love, this quirky show deserves to be given a fair chance.
I would hope that programs like Wonderfalls would remain as part of family viewing!
The alternative-type programming -- Sex in the City, Survivor, Extreme Makeovers, The Bachelor , and many such others -- have such limited appeal and such perverse value that, as a viewer, I refuse to have my sensiblity tainted by these abberations.
Wonderfalls is a fantasy, but one which speaks to the hope for humankind as a moral being!
Wonderfalls is a gem, a needle in a haystack of shows consisting of boring sitcoms, over budgeted crime dramas, and reality shows (and spinoffs, imitations and sequels of other reality shows). Novels and stories of the past have told of how television in the future eventually comes to rule everyone and has many "life or death gameshows/reality shows"
(See the books "The Running Man" and "The Long Walk" by Stephen King).
These garbage reality shows become more gruesome and moreally defunct each season, there is no entertainment value in them at all, it's basicly like "a train crash, don't want to stare but cant look away". TV was invented for entertainment and information, much like the internet. But also like the internet, it's filled with crap and junk by you. Bring back a good show, get rid of the reality crap.
A refreshing change to the usual rabble, Wonderfalls, is a witty and wildly entertaining show that has left me laughing to tears. I wonder which genius at Fox was responsible for the "Hmmmm? What time slot should we move this new show with lots of potential to....I know....we'll slot it the same time as CSI a well established show that is at the tops the rating. It should do well there." If you gave the show a chance to grow its following maybe then then it could compete. Everyone that has seen the show talks about it how fresh and diffent it is. Its is a show that is talked about at watercoolers all across America. Comon' Fox! Show some love to the underdog.
Every once in a while, a show comes along that has enough intelligence and wit to stand in the shoes of great tv like Sports Night, Firefly, and Nip Tuck. This year Wonderfalls is in that position as a fantastic and engaging show that deserves more from a network that seems to only be able to get viewers with bimbo-laden reality shows and sports. It would be wonderful if this gem remained on air.
Wonderfalls was another victim of FOX's "GET RATINGS QUICK OR DIE" scheme. They don't realize that shows like this take time to develope a following.
The least they can do is release Wonderfalls on DVD. If not, we can only hope that UPN or WB picks it up.
Save Wonderfalls, or let another network have it, only airing 4 episodes and jerking it out of its spot after 2 does not a successful tv show make. Fox is notorious for plugging its new shows, then dropping them before they have a chance to find their audience. It would be a shame to lose this WonderFall program!
Anyone remember "The Embassy"? Same thing.
I don't know why this show was cancelled. I hate watching all these stupid, so called "reality shows". These reality shows on all the channels are so fake and made up, that they suck. Reality Tv is a bandwagon everyone has jumped on. Fox is starting to make up some retarded shows like The Swan and some others. The show just wasn't given a chance. I like watching shows like Malcolm In the Middle, the Simpsons, the O.C. not reality shows.
Please give Wonderfalls a fair chance! The origninal Star Trek teleivision series got off to a slow start. In fact, it was very nearly canelled not just once, but several times! And look how popular it is now!
M*A*S*H also barely escaped cancellation at the end of it's first season, and it is now regarded as one of the finest cult calssics of all time!
So please, don't trash Wonderfalls until you have given it a fair chance!
I love this show..she is a very good actress..In fact, we went to the same high school..yet, she is two years younger than me..I was so proud of her...It would really be a shame if this show leaves and they keep a stupid show like Keeping it Straight!!!!
bring back wonderfalls. It was a great show. I would even stay how an extra hour on friday night to watch it. I do not understand how Fox let the show how when, or maye I do if you look at all the stupid shows they continue to pick up
Hopefully a deserving TV network will pick up this show. Or better yet, a DVD release! That should be fun, huh! Much better than watching it on FOX, with all the commercial interuptions about their new shows that'll probably get cancelled anyway.
I just loved the show even though Fox never gave it a chance in the time slots that it was given. Fox has so many other crappy shows that it picks up, I don't understand why when they have gem like this they do support it. What were they thinking.
FOX, you throw away the greatest shows! I mean, you even dumped Married With Children, which byt he way is one of the shows that made you who you are today! I mean, sure they were all reruns, but who cares, that's not the point! Now you're bashing us again by cancelling another one of the greatest shows on TV! Come on! Be a REAL TV network for once!
This is a wonderfall show! I hope the networks will wise up and bring it back. I will not watch The Swan tonight after Tru Calling. I will change the channel to watch Kingdom Hospital instead. But if WonderFalls was still on, I would watch it and record Kingdom Hospital instead.
I was finally EXCITED to find a show that was SO ENTERTAINING...now FOX has gone and cancelled it?! STUPID! I hope the producers/creators are able to find a new home...I'll watch it wherever it goes...it reminded me of the great cable shows (i.e. Dead Like Me)...COME BACK!
Maybe Tim should have learned that the brilliant programmers at FOX are not intersted in truely ingenious and original ideas. (Didn't you learn your lesson with Firefly?!) The network has become a pit of the most awful reality shows ever devised. Brilliant minds are not fostered at FOX anymore. What boggles my mind is how Tru Calling survived. That show is such a waste of a decent actress. Now, they're deciding to pull the plug on a well written show with a fantastic newcomer. She really has what it takes to make this show memorable.
Tim, give up on these morons at FOX. They do not deserve genius such as yourself (they never derserved Joss either). Your nitch audience is intelligent and interested in a developing a comfort level with the characters. On Fox you only get one episode to do that!!!! More dating shows about little people!
Or maybe you could be like their other property O.C. and take otherwise good actors and give them drivel for skripts simply to succumb to what the masses want. That show in less than one year has become a charicature of itself. It isn't half as smart as it thinks it is.
Four freaking episodes. Please don't let them kill your show. Take it to a smarter audience. Take it to someone who wants an original, well acted, gem of a show.
FOX really doesn't even deserve your show. Let it choke on "The Swan."
Well FOX, that's 2 up, 2 down for the brilliant Tim Minnear. Your programmers really have no idea at all what to do with quality. Gail Berman is an imbecile. You've lost a viewer for life.
I love the show!!! It is by far one of the most unique and funny shows on television. In a world of reality T.V. wonderfalls was, or is witty & entertaining a show that should deffinatly be given more than 4 times to air before it is cut. The move to Thursday night was surprising and disapointing, for the first time a refreshing new show with attitude!Wonderfalls should have been named WONDERFUL!! Best of Luck Wonderfalls!!!
This show was a sign of intelligence reemerging. The reality shows have overstayed their welcome. We don't want shameless human behavior, we want to see something quirky and fun that you have to think about what is coming next.
Why cancel a great show? With all the horrors in the world, like reality TV, why can't we just keep a good show when it comes along? Fox, this reminds me of a kid I know, and he's an annoying noisy gravaling worthless hunk of slime. Much like yourself.
One of the greatest shows ever!, You make 13 episodes, then drop them in a dumpster behind K-Mart after the 4th. FOX, if you dont pick the show back up, someone else will, it you will feel very sorry.
Just remember Reno 911!, you killed the show, then two years later it became one of the biggest hits EVER on Comedy Central! HA HA! I laugh in your face!
Ok, this latest cancellation of quality programming on Fox has really pissed me off. If any Fox execs are reading this: YOU ARE MORONS! By some amazing stroke of fate good shows keep landing in your lap and you unfailingly strangle them with lack of advertising, poor time slots, etc, then promptly cancel them when the ratigns "somehow" stink. Well, either you get this show back on the air, or it's the last time you'll have me switching to your channel.
The show was never even given a chance. It was moved after the first 2 episodes (ONLY 2) then canceled after another. how did they expect it to even get an audience yet.
Come on people, would it really kill the networks to leave one of the few genuinely clever shows on the air? It will be a terrible waste if this series, which is both smart and entertaining, doensn't get picked up.
This is a great show and there's no reason for it to be canceled. I mean, it'd be one thing if nonne watched it, but c'mon! Everyone watches. This petition says it all!
I love this show wonderfalls.don't leave the fans high and dry again fox!Or maybe the next petition will be against whoever is in charge down there.full-speed ahead nick degillio
Great show. Great television programming left by the wayside. Thank you Fox for proving your collective thumbs have gone missing, yet again. The only show worth watching is sunk. Fantastic.
Funny, witty, irreverent and raw. A la "Firefly" Fox has once again held a jewel in its hand and let it be stolen by impatience and greed. Grow up Fox!
This is a really great show and it would be a shame if you cancel it. This show is refreshing and the cast does a beautiful job of making me care about what's going on. There aren't too many shows that are as quirky and orginal as this one. Don't give up, just find a better timeslot, or put it on before a higher rating show like the O.C. Here's a thought maybe cut back on all that American Idol (it seems to come on every day just about). Don't cancel this wonderful show. Give it a chance, and at least one more season to prove itself and find a large fanbase. Geez, this like "Firefly" all over again, and don't get me started about "Dark Angel." Basically, I love this show so give it a chance.
I would rather clean every toilet in Grand Central Station with my tongue then watch one more minute of your crap reality shows! I want Wonderfalls back!
This is the only television series that my wife and I watch and record. It may not be 100% original, but it is engaging and well written, performed and produced.
If Fox's "The Swan" is the next wave of popular shows, I'm stapling my eyelids to the carpet of the Luxor Casino floor.
Simply, I really, really, like Wonderfalls. I'd hate to see it canceled. Viva la dented lion.
DON"T CANCEL THIS SHOW! Just give people a chance to see it--it'll catch on! It will. We already look forward every week to the new episode. It's refreshing, original, clever, funny, new--don't cancel WONDERFALLS!
It's such a shame that you have decided to cancel this wonderfull sjow, it was the one bright spot on FOX, and now you have taken it away from us, shame on you.
Fox you are crap. Wonderfalls was one of the best shows ever! When I saw the first episode, I though "finally, a good TV show". The best show since "Roseanne". But (sigh), you don't even give it a chance, you place it in horrible timeslots, then just say "oh, geez, no one watched the show, lets cancel it right away". Fox, you really are stupid.
Crash and burn FOX, CRASH AND BURN!
This show is by far the best and most original show i have seen since the first survivor created this huge pour of reality show after reality show. I want more shows like wonderfalls and less reality shows.
Why cancel a show with quality acting and writing and keep shows as inane as "My Big Fat Fiance". Another goof for Fox, just like when they dumped Futurama and Family Guy. Way to go
why do the shows with any redeaming value or sense of humor get cancelled. what was so special about everyone loves raymond or seinfeld those shows really sucked.
