Teachers do get paid to do the work they do, this is true. They are not getting paid to be at your grad or your concert or your trip to quebec or your anything else that they do for you on their own time out of the wish they have to see you succeed in life. You misunderstand thier motives if you think the teachers are out to take anything away from you. This is the only voice they have to get what is needed to better your education.

Not only does it mean cancelled grad plans (if work to rule should continue), but it mounts stress between teachers and students.

Question: No one but the teachers no what's REALLY happening right? Then why are we all spazzing over it. Like of course we're really mad about field trips being cancelled and what not out of my point of view.. Im mad.. but i don't know everything and neither do you guys about this whole fight. But if you're goign to sign his petition be reasonable and understand everything before you do it and don't swear and yell aobut stupid things or else no one's gonna take it seriously. Teachers do do ALOT of things. They plan events, they supervise clubs, they're coaches to colleyball or basketball, they do ALOT of things that we take for granted as well. You have to understand that. They want more time to work on OUR STUFF if i understand correctly. Like their prep time USUALLY they use it to mark our tests, plan more stuff for us to do and all that. And the whoevers have shortened it and shortened it they just need more time because*again if i understand correctly* they're using prep.. to mark our work or plan stuff. I don't think they're bieng unreasonable. But still out of my perspectiv ei see that, but also this is our LAST year hre. Everyone looks forward to their last yer bing the best and like Quebec might be cancelled, we were looking forward to Crystal fountain, and like all that. But the work to rule is affecting EVERYONE... hell the teachers are doing handwritten report cards.. so iunno how short that is.. or how long they're gonan be but.. ouch... basically.. just UNDERSTAND what you're yelling about, take this seriously, see it out of everyone's point of view.. and pleease try to resolve this if any of you teachers are reading this comment. This is my second time posting. Im glad I got to chat with some of the people that posted on this petition the other night. Even thought the April 1st conference was officially cancelled, we had an unofficial conference and there were like 12 people from a school called burczy and ther were like 7 of us who arent from burczy. Being not frum burczy, I felt kinda outta place. But yes its true that the work2rule has com to the second stage. It's unfortunate, but reading the posts from sum ppl from b4, they said sum really smart stuff. I dont think we should be spazzing at teachers..it aint their fault

I think many students used this petition as a tool to release some of their 'anger' towards not being able to have grad and quebec trip. Afterwards, everybody should be okay, because we all know there's nothing we can do about it. Things are going to turn out fine and I do agree now, that we should learn more about work to rule before we make any opinions.

thank you to kenneth williams for actually taking the time to research before they say something, another not swearing is NOT going to solve are problems the work to rule is not our teachers decision to the individual facts and i am pretty sure that most of them voted agaist it because i know many teachers were looking forward to it and thank you to bejamen and kelly for being polite, you swearing on the petition is not helping on many aspects so i suggest that u actually research and be polite. the work to rule is not our decision and just let the teachers and the school board work it out. thanks

I would like to correct that 'embarrass' is spelt with an e, not an i. As I had made the mistake on my last post. But more importantly, I think that we should stop the petition. There is more to work to rule than any of us (students) are about to know. As I still hold strong opinions about the subject, I will suggest that we let it rest for now. I still think that the students SHOULD know what's going on, but if privacy is really an issue, I suppose that needs to be respected. I will again stress that I hold my own opinions (still), but we've all heard enough for the time being. For the teachers(union) and board: just remember the students. Thanks.
