Xmas used to be a religious holiday with some meaning, but now its a massive farse. Everybody lies to their children about the existance of father christmas and that just isn't right. Furthermore, children should not be taught that happiness comes from a box.

Every year, massive corperations make loads of money out hard working people, by selling them plastic crap that they feel obliged to buy. I'm all for family gatherings and present exchange, but xmas poisons us into thinking that we need an excuse to be nice to each other.

Xmas is a wast of time. I tryed without having a xmas one year to see what it was like and it was fine. So we don't need it. What about all the people that have such a bad time not being able to afford things for their kids & being pressured into getting into debt just cause all the other kids in school with rich parents are getting this and that. For so many reasons we should give up pretty much all that goes with christmass and turn it into Xmas where it's just two weeks off work to be with & where you want to. Why waste money on buying things for people that they don't really want because they are going to buy you a load of crap that you don't want just to chuck it out in the bin a few months later. They money would be better spent on the heating bills. We can keep the true spirituality of the holiday, but unless you actually believe in God then you should not be allowed to join in. Why not be nice to people, buy them gifts e.t.c. all year 'round and not just jump on a religous band-wagan because 'the shops' tell you too. On a more serouis note - it's quite difficult letting go of christmas and going against all those (fake) christmas god botherers, but with strength, unity and a true connection with a real sence of spirituality we can overcome this terrible curse on humanity. !! SACK SANTA !!

Hmm... its funny the ones who support this dont leave their name, Why? As for banning Christmas, that is probably the most improbable thing to happen. Honestly just because you Athiest's out there (which we tolerate) dont think we should celebrate God, dont rain on everyone elses parade. And honestly wow you went to school and some professor told you all these wonderful stories of Kings and Pagan Holidays yada yada yada. So now you think your hot stuff, most people already know Jesus was not born on the 25th because no one knows when Jesus was born! Also know ones "knows" anything you cannot prove that God exists or that he doesnt exist it is called faith. If you believe in nothing and that works for you congrats. Really though, NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU OR YOUR BELIEFS OR IF YOU LIKE CHRISTMAS OR NOT. It is a tradition and one that will most likely continue as long as Christianity exists. God Bless
