I support this petition. christmas has sadly lost its meaning. Do not buy from christmas sales. If possiable make your own gifts, but do not buy into corperate traps.
Xmas is a wast of time. I tryed without having a xmas one year to see what it was like and it was fine. So we don't need it. What about all the people that have such a bad time not being able to afford things for their kids & being pressured into getting into debt just cause all the other kids in school with rich parents are getting this and that. For so many reasons we should give up pretty much all that goes with christmass and turn it into Xmas where it's just two weeks off work to be with & where you want to. Why waste money on buying things for people that they don't really want because they are going to buy you a load of crap that you don't want just to chuck it out in the bin a few months later. They money would be better spent on the heating bills. We can keep the true spirituality of the holiday, but unless you actually believe in God then you should not be allowed to join in. Why not be nice to people, buy them gifts e.t.c. all year 'round and not just jump on a religous band-wagan because 'the shops' tell you too.
On a more serouis note - it's quite difficult letting go of christmas and going against all those (fake) christmas god botherers, but with strength, unity and a true connection with a real sence of spirituality we can overcome this terrible curse on humanity. !! SACK SANTA !!

Christmas still has meaning, I know a lot of people think it's all about recieving presents and what not, but maybe people should raise their children with the religiousness of Christmas instead of the "i want such and such".

I know Christmas has become a commercial holiday but I enjoy it cause I actually get to see the people I love for once. And for a little while my family doesn't fight. So I'll sign this against the commercialism but nothing else.
Christmas isnt about wat comes in shinney paper, colourful ribbons and bows but about the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth. Christmas is about coming together and spending time with each other, not about how much money you can spend. Sure presents are nice but choose 1 instead of 10 and remeber the love and thought instead of a roxy purse or Hurley sweater.

Cristams never had any meaning. early cristains put Jesus birth around may, but different cristain sects celibrated it at varying times around the year. the reason cristmas was set as 25th december was so it would eclipse pagan celibartions of winter. All the commerical crap was added at the end of the 19th century.
