Andrea Yates openly admitted to drowning all of her five children in a bathtub, and was trialed for murder. In March 2002 a jury had rejected her plea that she was insane, and decided that she was guilty. They also rejected the death penalty and settled for life inprisonment with a chance of parole in 40 years. January 2006, the court discovers that a witness Dr. Park Dietz, a Califonia psychiatrist, had given false testimony during the trial, and because of this a new trial was started.

January 29th, she again pleas insanity.
July 26th, she is found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Some say she had the baby blues which is a major depression after childbirth, but it is highly treatable. This can't be taken into thought, because Andrea's psychiatrist urged the family to not have any more children. Yates did this on her own will.

By signing this petition you believe that she should have been found guilty and the original sentence should have been applied once again.
