Harvesting seals in this brutal manner stunts growth and causes phycological harm. I have nothing against the seal hunters just their actions. please stop this!
The seal hunt is making Canadians look bad in pretty much the same way Bush is making average Americans look bad to the rest of the world. This barbaric hunt must CEASE NOW!
This clubing of the innocent and defenseless baby seals, is one of the 'Most Inhuman' acts that takes place by the Sub-Humans that do it! There is no excuse for it! There are other ways to 'earn extra money! Let them go on E-Bay, for example!
Okay, firstly Rebecca, “they go around slaughtering endless defencless animals for the money!” ITS CALLED HUNTING, Humans, and even Animals (GASP) have been doing it for Billions of years….. SECONDLY, Annemarie Van Hees, you are probably the biggest hypocrite EVER if you say “Its time for the Canadian Government to listen to the people of the world. We want this cruel slaughter to end.”. I have two words for you American protestors, IRAQ WAR. Also notice how nobody educated on the seal hunt protests it, because it’s basically either the seals or the hunters, because the hunters have no other source of income in the winter. On a more positive note, the ONLY post here that I respect is kylie Soanes’ post, because it DOES offer a compromise. “This cruel practice needs to stop or at the very least be made far more humane.” Key being “be made far more humane” Now although it is most of the time NOT as brutal as some of the American media portrays it, admittedly it could be more humanely done sometimes. That way, everyone wins! The hunters get to keep their jobs and you all can stop complaining about how the seals “suffer for the last 10 minutes of their life “ (which by the way is most of the times not true, MUCH more often than not they die very quickly). Lastly, you Americans should mind your own business with matters like this *cough*IRAQ*cough*.
I am American, but seals are harmless animals. The Hunters are to make the last 10 minutes of a seals life a living hell, because all they do is beat them down to a bloody pulp, and kill them.

The way of killing seals is a cruel way. I saw on TV sometimes last year. What saddens me more is that they kill for sports. Its sad. If they are killed in a humane way, its ok given the present situation in the world.
The seals have as much right to fish stocks as we greedy humans.Or should I say the Greedy fishermen and their bosses.They will not stop till the oceans are empty.
