I support this petition because killing seals isn't right. Seals are apart of our earth and we should respect them. Just like we are a gift from god, so are animals. Why would people eat what god gave us?
i find this 'sport' as what they call it DISGUSTING who in there right mind would do this to poor inocent creatures! There is NO excuse for it. The people who do it must have extremly SICK minds! I have seen pictures on the internet of the poor seals and i CRYED for hour just to think of these poor animals suffering while most of us sit back and watch 'eastenders' SOMETHING has GOT to be done!!!!! No one in the goverment should be supporting this dissgusting 'sport'!!!
You need to find a way to educate your people so they can make a living without having to stoop so low as to killing babies. What will you kill next?Supplement the incomes of these fishing communities, and teach them skills that do not demand a need to kill.You are losing more tourist dollars than you can count, because so many of us refuse to visit a country that is so barbaric.

I think this act is disgusting. We do not have the right to play God.It is not humane. How can hitting an innocent tiny animal in the head be humane? One blow won't always kill it and im sure there are countless times that these people mearly miss the skull and just cause horrific injuries to the animal and leave it to die slowly and in a huge amount of pain. You wouldn't do this to another human being so how the hell can this be ok to do to living animals who CAN NOT fight back??It makes me so angry hearing these murderers thinking that somehow they are doing some good to control the seal population. These animals are killed by whales, fishing nets etc, is that not enough??? If this is all because of our fish population then it is up to us humans to stop eating so much fish. The animlas are entiltiled to live on this planet as much as we are, and it is time someone put a STOP to this horrible annual event by these nasty cold hearted murderers. Why do we keep thinking that us humans are the most dominant species, i hope one day this changes, as we are doing an extremley good job a ruining this world.It breaks my heart and i feel extremely strongly about any murdering of any innocent animal.I have never got involved in any thing like this before but i am just beginning to realise that everyone has to make a stand and do what they can to make a difference to the way in which this world is going.
It is inhumane and reflects such hypocracy it is beyond disgusting. Carrying out such acts, begs the question to be asked - are we really the more intelligent, empathetical and rational species? We should treat others as we would like to be treated.
Hunters, put yourselves in the seals shoes. We are all mammals, all made of the same stuff. It would feel the same. Imagine it. Canada, this is totally unjustifiable. You're making your whole country seem barbaric.
If people stopped buying products made from animals, this would stop! i have seen fake fur coats and real fur coats and i dont see any difference at all. It's just cruel and they only kill endangered animals for money so please tell your friends and relatives about this seal petition and the more people sign it, the better.
I wish these people that kill the seals would realise the longer this killing goes on the more endangered they will become, why, in a world where they should be trying to save animals, are they going around killing them??!!!

Please put a stop to this. They slaughtered enough seals. I nearly cried, cause this is so cruel and I will never forgive for that. To all hunters, this is a sin you will regret.
What gives them the right to kill this beautiful creature? Who are they to decide about life and death? What kind of sport is this..?? They didn’t harm anyone..!!
