The supporters of this petition believe that young people in America had an inherent place in American politics and current events. Young people provide a positive and powerful look at how America will continually be a force for the revolution of the ideals of democracy.

There needs to be serious consideration for there to be a debate for young people perhaps the same evening as the Presidential Debates or within the same few weeks as the Presidential Debates.

Such youth debate should involve the same current events as those which would probably be used in the Presidential Debates as well as other issues deemed necessary and important.

The Youth Engaged In Politics Debate should follow roughly the same structure as the Presidential Debates in some different ways. Political parties, such as the Democratic Party and Republican Party, should have an open and fair process in choosing its youth representative for the debate.

Thank you for supporting this petition by taking the time to consider and implement young people into American politics.

My name is Joseph Soto and I am a Young Democrat, but I am very interested in working in a bipartisan nature with Republicans to do the things our nation needs doing.

I would be honored and humbled if the Democrats (and Republicans) who signed this bill supported me in my endeavor to be the representative for the Democratic Party in the first Youth Engaged In Politics Debate.
