National Geographic Grant For Yeti Expedition
Published June 29, 2009
Dear National Geographic Society,
My colleagues and I would like to ask your generous foundation to grant us funds to travel to Nepal in order to discover the bipedal hominid believed to live there, commonly known as the yeti. On this expedition we will fly into Katmandu, Nepal and from there hike our gear into the mountainous wilderness. We will then set up a base camp, which will consist of shelters for those taking part, a camp fire and a shelter for equipment. We will then try various techniques of trying to catch the creature, such as a bait trap, splitting up and hunting, etc. We will also work during he night by setting up both night vision and thermal imaging camera traps, along with a person monitoring the bait trap with night vision in order to secure a specimen. Once we have secured the specimen, we will need assistance getting it back to America with such strict customs. In all, this should be what our expedition needs:

Five (5) sub-zero tents
Five (5) sub-zero sleeping bags
Four (4) weeks worth of food
Two (2) Sherpas
Minimum of three (3) fire arms
Transportation into Katmandu
Night-Vision and/or Thermal-Imaging camera traps
Night-Vision and/or Thermal Imaging goggles
Minimum of five (5) oxen (purchased on location)
Sub-zero clothing
Optionally: High Definition camera for clear (not blurry) photographic evidence

Not only will this discovery be important to the scientific foundation, bit also may provide us enough recognition to go on other expeditions to discover previously far-fetched creatures. Attached is a petition of fifty-thousand (50,000) signatures supporting this expedition. I thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,
Stan Cold
