I mean the only reason the record companies are doing it is because it saves so much money think about it. Record companies spend thousands upon thousands of dollars searching for talented musicians. But with amaerican idol they dont have to search at all they just have a show and the people come to them. It saves a lot of money as far as scouting talent. But American Idol is crap. I mean really. There are millions I mean literally a million people in the USA alone that can sing good.
