It is hard to think that close captioned videos could end. What next? I think it would be better to get rid of the sound considering some of the trash we have to "listen" to, and I'm not just talking about script, some music also has trashy lyrics! This would definitely be a step into the past for the paying customer of DVD's.

There was a time when the government required that every radio owner have a licence, but it flopped. Why must we be persecuted by our own governement? Say NO TO WIPO!

This is an essential service for all hearing impaired people. If you remove closed captions from DVD movies, you wouldn't hesitate to trip a blind person, nor would you hesitate to take away a crutch from a person with a walking disability. How can anyone be so cruel and heartless just to save a few dollars, and to put someone out of a job?
