My husband is deaf, and I know first hand what the deaf community goes through in terms of all the inequalities the world has TOWARD DEAF PEOPLE. Why is there even a petition about this, no one who has their hearing knows what its like to be deaf, so how can someone disregard it and say "ok so their deaf, big deal why should they get a hand out!" are you kidding, imagine not being able to hear the phone ring, or a bird chirp, or your childs firsts words. I think everyone who actually signs this petition is rude and ignorant. If being deaf is truely "no big deal" take a pencil and pop out your ear drums, see how long you last!
