I do not know if this petition would be the best way to go about addressing the long-standing issue that we in STS have been experiencing in regards to the growing issue with EC/EA's, but it would be a good sounding board none the less. I am in agreement that something needs to be done with the EA/EC's telling students to contact STS for assistance in setting up their newgroups and email. There have been more times then I can count where I have had a counselor call us in STS and I see the call come in either conferenced already, which I do not agree with because it puts pressure on us to take the call from the counselor... and we don't want to say anything with the student on the phone to show any appearance of friction between us and the counselors so we take them.... or after the first ring where it shows up as a counselor, it goes to conferencing in.
