Raise minimum wages to $10 an hour
Since all of you seem very young and have yet to move away from your parents, I will explain it to you in simpler terms.
Those paying you for your jobs now would never be able to stay in business paying all their employees $10 and hour (most of them make much less than you think). If they paid the lowest of their employees $10 and hour, they would have to pay those who have worked for them longer more than that ($12 or $15 or whatever). Then in order to pay everyone so much more, they would have to raise the prices on their goods or services to keep from going under. Soon all businesses would be doing the same, and the whole economic system would be affected. This in turn would raise all living costs( housing, cars, gas, etc). So in the end the $10 an hour you would be making wouldn’t be worth anymore than the $5.25 an hour you are making now.
