There's a reason God sent Hurricane Katrina where He did. New Orleans was, and is again, well over half-filled with voo-doo chantin' niggers. Conservatives want to "save the institute of marriage" by restricting it to one man and one woman. "Save the institution..?" Are they aware of the divorce rate in this country (USA)? Marriage is damned near on life-support as it is, and has been for several decades. Long before any state leagalized same-sex unins. What it boils down to is this: Marriage is two things, one spiritual, the other fiscal. The first is Matrimony, a Holy union between two people (usually a man and a woman) united by a member of the clergy until death they do part (or one has an affair, whichever comes first.) Should this be banned for same-sex couples? Not by the government. If a church is willing to united two men or two woman, that it their business and no one else's. The second thing Marriage is, is a financial agreement between two parties, a legal contract. I beleive it is illegal to not allow two consenting adults the right to enter into a financial agreement, a legal contrat. ...
