The Bible is not fiction, it is mythology. There is a distinction. It would be hubris to presume that what is or is not real can be percieved solely through 5 human senses. For example,modern science is having an extraordinarily difficult time accounting for observable phenomena based on the existence of only 3 dimensions. In any case, the idea that biblical mythology is the literal word of "God" is dangerously insane. This is obvious to anyone that is not insane.That means there are millions of people, many of them in positions of great power, that are funtionally insane.

If abortion is murder, then it must be prosecuted as such. However, there can be no separate crime known as "abortion". So, if prosecuters start getting convictions on abortion cases, people will stop having abortions. If not, it's time to move on. In a free society, we don't have courts that are empowered to enforce the laws of "God". We leave that to inquisions.

the Catholic church is corrupt beyond redemption. Mafia ties, suppressing safe-sex simply to increase the number of practicing Catholics, and the fact that "God" is non-existant. It was a ruse to allow the Church to control the masses. Take a look at the Vatican. BILLIONS of dollars spent in renovations and buildings while children die on the streets from starvation.
