As a new member of the west village community and a supporter of historic preservation, i find this element to not only be intrusive on and dangerous to the daily routine of the residents in this area, but completely contrary to the charm, character and importance of a historic district. We are not living here only for the glamourous nigthlife and proximity to the river, but more importantly for the rich and unique history of our community.
