because face it, no matter who we are and where we live, Liam will never get to date us. Just because you are in love with him doesn't mean he's in love with you. He can't date all of you just because you like him, he's a boy, he has a life. He is a normal human being just like us and he has the right to free will. He's allowed to love anyone he wants to.
