I live in TN and wanted to watch the Vikings and Steelers on 12/16/05. The local channels were showing Colts and Chargers on CBS and Titans and Seattle on Fox. I got a message on my screen saying the Steelers and Vikings game was not available in my area. After 3 calls to direct tv they basically said it was out of their control. Too bad for me. I never did see the game. I was on hold several times sometimes for half an hour waiting for a real person and when they did answer, I got three different stories. The last draw was a manager named Robert who told me that CBS was blocking the game. He was like a recording and would do NOTHING to help. I was furious as he read me rules about NFL blackouts and CBS affilates setting the policy. I told him CBS and the NFL did not take my money for the NFL ticket. Direct TV did. But they would not even attempt to fix it. And worse yet, if Robert is right, CBS has the authority to black out any game any time they want. Someone...
