I support this petition & so should every other concerned citizen of this State. Unfortunately, I just lost a family member who I loved like my own child. We later found out the man who called in the 911 is on probation until 2025 for 2 counts of 1st & 2nd degree sexual assault during a buglary in committed in 1983. He has been arrested & charged 5 addtl times of B&E's; possession of fireare. His latest charge, obstructing a police officer, he did not show for pre-trial yesterday, 9/21/06. But this is normal for this Sex Offender in RI. The AG lets this guy out repeatedly. The Prov Detectives are no better. They have evidence to put this guy away, but they say the ATTORNEY GENERAL said NO. Detective Sgt Sweeney did not return my family's call until 2 weeks after his death.
