Eventhough Pakistan is in dire need of dams i think that Kalabagh is not a good choice... as building a dam there would mean depletion of natural resources especially the reuseable ones like trees and fertile soils... Secondly i came to know that the area where the dam is to be constructed is a quake zone which would be extremely dangerous as any further quakes like the 8.10.2005 quake will lead to an extra damage. as in flooding...
