I'm not a yank myself, but I have a suggestion. Why don't you each, individually, send a registered letter to the State Department declaring that you, as an individual, are seceding from the Union? If a million Americans did this, the furore would bring down the American system of government. Then you could have a Constitutional Convention to reform your 18th century, horse-and-buggy system. Alternatively, you could just put your affairs under the direction of the British Colonial Office until you are ready for self-government.
