There are those among us, in this country, who no longer rely on TV or radio or newspapers. I am one of those, having been a reporter told to spin to sell, Dumb Down to a 3rd grade level, dig dirt to unseat politicians [deemed a threat to the editor's agenda]... etc.Remembering that turns me off, as does skewed journalism. So I turn my TV/radio off, read zero newspapers including a local weekly. I see it as a principled boycott, in support of all humanity.I've made an exception, however, to see 2008's campaign. Candidates in debates, TV interviews, campaign ads give me a view of demeanor, body language, authenticity. Persona reveals more to me than what is said so I weigh all I see with all I hear from a candidate.When mainstream media ignores any candidate I ask why, assuming that media source may have an unspoken agenda or is leaning toward a bias.
