3 members of the Canadian teen pop band 'Simple Plan', namely Pierre Bouvier,Chuck Comeau,Patrick Langlois, are facing a US federal prosecution for piracy of the 'Role Model' clothing band. They have been refused twice by the USPTO in trying to register 'Role Model' as a trademark in 2002 & 2007, plus having their offer in 2005 rejected, by the actual owners of the trademark. Regardless, they still went ahead and pirated the 'Role Model' clothing brand. By shipping across counterfeit clothing from Canada to the USA(illegal exports), they broke US federal law, even after been warned by the owners Role Model Clothing Inc(US).
