Both rap and metal require skill, but in different ways. Most of the mainstream rap about bitch, drugs and money is shitty, recycled garbage over shitty beats. But there are a good many rappers who can rhyme amazingly fast, and also rap about meaningful topics. Look up some real underground rap, before you condemn it all. As for metal, the instrumental and vocal skill required to play most metal is huge. Is is quite possibly the most technical genre of modern music there is, and like someone previously pointed out, there are so many styles of it, that anyone who's into to heavy music can likely find something they like. BTW, I play lead guitar for a thrash metal band, AND rap in an underground NH group called Warehouse Collective. I love and appreciate both styles of music, because I am open minded, unlike most of you morons. So, SUCK ON THAT.
