I'm not shoving my beliefs down your throat Mary. First off, we are not always allowed to practice our religion in public. A local human rights group wanted to get rid of the Christmas tree in our town's Holiday parade even though other religious holidays had fair representations in the parade as well. The group said that the tree might offend people who aren't Christian. In another nearby town an elementary school displayed many books on Hannukah, which is fine, but refused to display books on Christmas. It's very hard to celebrate my religion when people are getting instantly defensive and saying that my practice is offensive to others.
