MYOB coming back to Canada? Don't hold your breath. Acclivity has acquired MYOB US and is only considering supporting Canada. In an email conversation with an Acclivity rep I asked if they are paying royalties to MYOB (the original developer), no answer. I asked why we should trust they won't dump us "for what ever reason suits them", again no answer. MYOB (AccountEdge) hasn't changed much in the last 8 years. The interface is not entirely Mac OS X native, in fact it's a hodge podge of the original strange sizing features and some Cocoa updates. It shows that not much has been invested in developing it. Acclivity can't be trusted when they have announced this "2009 update might be our last payroll update depending on the number of users of the Windows edition". I've decided to switch to MoneyWorks.
