I am a vegetarian and I believe that the way veal is produced is bad. However, it is one of the ways that the milk industry can continue to make a profit, because in order to make milk, a cow needs to give birth and since half of these are male the only way to use them is for veal. I think that if it weren't for this, veal would be illegal because the production of it violates domestic animal cruelty laws.
