This movie is in my top ten for all time. The sleazy "bad side of the tracks" David Goodis story ...Nastassja's entrance into the waterfront bar with Gabriel Yared's music the most exquisite swooning entrance in movie history...the revving of the little red ferrari (or whatever it is) with the yellow headlights..Victoria Abril fighting naked!...Gerard supporting everybody on his huge longshoreman's shoulders...the morbid fancy french guy drinking himself to death...that creepy little guy from Diva--- The soundtrack is gold...I am looking at my sealed vinyl copy of it right now... When the movie played at the Bridge Theater in San Francisco, I saw it THREE times the week it played there. Someone on Amazon said,"It will be appreciated in time".... If I was rich I would BUY a 35 mm print of this movie and a projector.... WE WANT this movie on DVD....wide screen and transferred lovingly....Paul in Oakland, CA
