At age 7 I knew I could not believe in God. At 11 I had enough of Church and raised a public fit. It seemed to work for me and I no longer was forced to go. I grew up a taxpayer and dedicated college educated professional. I was fortunate my parents did not persist in forcing me to listen to sermans, which always seemed to depress me. Others are not so fortunate and are dragged to listen to that depressing talk through age 18!
