This is so untrue. Please do your research before posting false information on line. I was active with Saul Home & School for 4 years, and not once did I encounter any type of animal cruelty. The beagles were walked and played with by the students, the small animals were well taken care of by the students (there is a summer program for kids starting in the fall so even over the summer - kids were there to care for the animals). The students learned how to take care of the small animals (rabbits, rats, hamsters) as well as the larger animals like the cows and horses and pigs. Students were taught everything from cleaning the horse\'s stalls to eventually grooming and taking the horses out for a walk through Wissahickon Park. I have never in all the times I have been to the school, seen any type of mistreatment or neglect of any of the animals. There is a resident farmer to care for the farm animals all year round.
