Ban "Comic Sans"
I am a sound recordist, broadcast sound editor and University lecturer. I am also dyslexic. This dreadful font is used gratuitously, not only in business but also in the academic world. I had assumed, naively perhaps, that its use was due to a somewhat tragic attempt by the user to appear to be a \'fun\' character, but I have since been told that its use is advised in education training (in the UK, the PGCE programme) specifically in order to be \'inclusive\' to those of us with specific learning
difficulties. This I find astonishing, since comic sans is possibly the single most difficult font for a dyslexic person to read.
In the meantime, as long as people insist on making my life difficult by using this font, I will continue to do whatever needs to be done in order to change the font of their text into a readable form, but the sooner comic sans is officially removed from both work and education scenarios, the easier life will be for those of us who also have to contend with a spe...
